About Madeline Brogan

As a Sarasota resident of 30 years I have always loved Siesta Key. The area is the perfect relaxation spot. I purchased this completely renovated house one year ago as a weekend retreat without the travel; it's 20 minutes from my home. I have thoroughly enjoyed decorating it with all new furnishings that fit perfectly with the relaxed island feeling this cottage radiates.

Madeline Brogan purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Madeline Brogan chose Siesta Key

I looked at many properties for my own vacation home ownership but found the true gem in my own back yard, just a few steps from the beautiful beach with adequate parking; never having to jostle for a parking spot again at the public beach was a huge selling point for me. As an added benefit, the backyard is its own private oasis. I added a custom built outdoor kitchen and bar so that I could relax with friends and enjoy wonderful family get-togethers. I know that you will love this cottage as much as my family and I do.

What makes this cottage unique

Just a few steps from the beautiful Crescent Beach and Point of Rocks.

Parking for up to 5 cars.

Secluded private oasis with a outdoor kitchen, bar and bar seating for up to 8.

Tile floors throughout.

Loungers and day beds to relax and soak up the sun.

Modern kitchen with front loading washer and dryer.

Just a walk away from restaurants, bars and the local 7-11 or take a free door to door shuttle (tips only) to Siesta Key Village.

This is a true vacation home.

Great Location for our Family

  • 5 of 5

I loved that we were so close to the beach. The house was stocked with plenty of beach towels and accessories too including a cart and cooler on wheels to carry our things. The kitchen was well stocked with items we needed for the 6 of us.

Great Location For Beach Relaxation

  • 5 of 5

My family (Me and my Wife, adult son, adult daughter, and our 13 year old daughter) had the most relaxing vacation that we can remember at this property! Plenty of room for everyone and a great kitchen inside and out! We would walk to the beach(1 block) in the late morning and spend all day there. Run back to the house for a bite for lunch then back to the beach! In the evening we would relax around the fire or hang out in the hot tub. Really nice to have so many amenities and a fantastic location! Madeline was fantastic and very accommodating to any needs. We are already planning a return visit! This place truly has everything you need!

Awesome home

  • 5 of 5

The home is in a great location--5 minute walk to beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Trolley to Siesta Village eliminates need to deal with traffic and parking. Back yard has everything you need including plenty of shade. House is roomy--kitchen is well stocked for meal preparation. Washer and dryer work work great--beach towels dried in under 20 minutes. Entire place is decorated with upbeat colors, beds are comfortable--bath rooms great size. House was immaculate. Definitely rent it--you will not be disappointed--Madeline was very accommodating and makes you feel welcomed!!!

Perfect place for families and close to the beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time with our 2 little boys (1 and 3) and my brother and sister in law with their 5 month old! We could easily walk back and forth to the beach multiple times a day. The house was great, love the open living and dining room so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids. Everything was updated nicely and Madeline was so accommodating whenever we needed her!

  • 4 of 5

Property was very nice and quite convenient for everything we wanted and needed to do! Had all the amentities you'd typically have in your own home plus some! Backyard was absolutely beautiful and a nice change of pace from the sandy beach. Overall we were very pleased with everything the home had to offer for our vacation experience. Would highly suggest this to anyone looking for a place to enjoy your family vacation!

As you cross the draw bridge onto Siesta Key, you realize that it is a pocket of tranquility from your busy world - welcome to paradise!! Just a few steps from the snow white powder sands of Crescent Beach. Imagine a short stroll every night with a tropical drink to watch the breath taking sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico... perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the green flash!

Bike along the tropical paths of this 8 mile beautiful barrier island, or simply ride along the 2 and a half mile stretch of the sugar sand shores of Crescent Beach.

If you don't feel like bike riding, talk a leisurely walk along Crescent Beach with the warm gulf leisurely lapping at your feet.

At the southern tip of Crescent Beach you will find Point of Rocks; an area easy to explore... rich with coral formations, shallow waters, and rare geological features. It's a great place to view birds and colorful marine life that is perfect for snorkeling (snorkel gear provided) or diving. Crescent Beach, a 2.5 mile stretch of tropical paradise is a 'very private, non private' beach due to the lack of parking, (Parking available for 5 cars on the property), this means that you can enjoy the area of this tropical island without interruption.

When you're ready to explore the island, take a short walk to the local shopping plaza to Javier's Restaurant and Wine Bar, Captain Curt's Crab and Oyster Bar, Clayton's, or Anna's Deli world famous specialty sandwiches; a grocery store and 7-11 are close by for your convenience.

Call one of many local free shuttle services (tips only) for door to door service to take you to any Siesta Key destination. Visit Siesta Key Village without worrying about driving or parking.

Siesta Key Village hosts a plethora of great bars, shops, restaurants and night life: The Beach club, Siesta Key Oyster Bar, The Cottage, Daiquiri Desk, Blasé Cafe, Joto Japanese Steakhouse, Big Olaf's Ice Cream, The Old Salty Dog and the Lobster Pot just to name a few!!!

If you'd like to have an adventure, you can Jet Ski, rent a boat to explore local waterways, Para-Sail, Kayak, Standup Paddle Board, Wave Runner... or charter a boat for deep sea fishing!

Would you rather just lounge around? Relax on the beach with your beach chair (provided), toes in the sand and a good book. Don't bury your head too far into that novel because you might miss the passing dolphins as they swim by!
