2/2 Newly Renovated Beach Front Condo with Large Porch, Sunset Views and Access!

Our home is a 2 BR, 2 Bath, Oceanfront Island style house with four family dwellings. Two downstairs and two upstairs. We are on the top floor with vaulted ceilings and no footsteps above! A large porch to view cruise ships arriving and facing west for beautiful sunsets. We are located on Seven Mile Beach within walking distance to George Town, supermarket, and restaurants.

King bed in master bedroom and 2 queen beds in guest bedroom. Sleeps up to 6. TV & cable in both the master & guest bedrooms. DVD player, CD/Radio, washer/dryer, FREE WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen.

About Sandy Wallin

Our Family has owned this little bit of Heaven for 35 Years. We have spent summers and holidays, with our four girls here.

It is a two story Island Style House structure. We are on the top floor, so we don't have to contend with any noise above. Vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans in every room.

No need to watch the sunset from the pool or beach, watch it from the comfort of the Porch.

Sandy is a World Reknowed Glass Sculptor. Her work has sold in Galleries La Fayette, Paris, Dickens and Jones, London and Neiman Marcus in the US. You can visit Kirk Freeport, Bayshore Drive, or The Strand, to view her latest collection. since this is her Flagship location as of 22 years ago.

Sandy has always disclosed, her observations and inspiration contributing to her work, have come from sitting on the porch, watching the Fisherman, who came like clockwork for years.

The Original Paintings in the apt. are available in Prints at Kennedy Gallery and Pure Art, her sculptures are through out the home.

When you arrive in Grand Cayman, Pay close attention to the Art. as you go thru customs.

Perfect

Cocoplum 10 is the best unit in my opinion. If we never left out patio I couldn't complain. Close to everything yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Nice refreshing pool with great snorkeling right out front.....defiantly snorkel the wreck out front, you won't be disappointed! I could have stayed another week. Thank you Sandy!

Perfect stay at Cocoplum 10

My family of five (3 kids ages 14,13 and 8) loved this condo. We snorkeled the shipwreck, lounged by the pool and mostly sat on the beautiful deck while we were there. Had amazing meals on the island. We had all breakfasts there and a few lunches. Kitchen is well stocked. So nice having beach chairs, umbrella and cooler- we used daily. Sandy was a pleasure to work with during the process. We hope to be back!! Oh and the roosters were loud but the reviews about the fan app made the issue moot.

Amazing condo helped ensure an amazing vacation

We visited as a family of 3 including our 22-month-old son for one week and were VERY happy we picked not only Cocoplum but also this particular unit. This was our 1st visit to Grand Cayman, and the comforts of this property were a big factor in making our vacation amazing. Here are the main pros & cons that come to mind:

PROS:

- Gorgeous unobstructed beachfront view. Super-refreshing each time we would look out the windows or sit on the large veranda and see dense forest to the left (being next to an undeveloped lot), ocean/beach out in front, and a nice swimming pool down below.

- Very quiet & peaceful condo complex. I think we only saw around 15 other Cocoplum residents/visitors throughout the week, and only a handful of people walking along the beach as it's a bit of a walk from the "thick" of 7-mile beach.

- Great snorkeling right from the beachfront. Got to see angelfish, butterflyfish, squirrelfish, trunkfish, pufferfish, parrotfish, stingrays, a turtle, and more. Plus a very easy-to-snorkel shipwreck called the Gamma.

- Convenient amenities including the swimming pool, dedicated parking spot, in-house washer/dryer, dishwasher, 7 ceiling fans, etc.

- Close to groceries, restaurants, dive shops, etc.

- Very safe for our son; open concept living space, door knobs (instead of handles), and a kid-friendly veranda.

- Sandy was very responsive & helpful during the booking process

CONS - Nothing really significant by any means:

- There were a couple kitchen items lacking (e.g. cheese grater, large mixing bowl, plastic wrap, etc) however these didn't prevent us from making great meals.

- For some families the 6:35am rooster calls might be frustrating however my wife was able to tune it out, and I wake up at that time anyways with my son.

OTHER NOTES:

- A rental car was a must for us not only for the toddler car seat, but also for quick access to the entire West side (e.g. Camana Bay, Smith Cove, Governor's Beach, the turtle farm, etc) but also an easy drive to more distant places (e.g. Rum Point, Starfish Point, etc).

- One suggestion would be for the cleaning fee to include a mid-week "mini" cleaning as we've had with previous condos, however this condo is very easy to keep clean so it's not overly important.

Overall an excellent property, and was a major factor in what ended up as one of our favourite of many trips to the Caribbean. Thank you Sandy and we're absolutely considering booking the same property again in the next year or two :)

Clean nice unit

The unit was clean and modern. Fantastic view. We enjoyed the porch with hammock and candles. They had pool noodles for snorkeling and cooler for beach. Only complaint was the rooster next door that woke us up at the crack of dawn! Bring white noise. We thought the beds were comfortable as I had read other rewiews they were hard. If anything they were on the soft side. Overall it was a great location for being able to walk to market. We did rent a car for a few days as we wanted to see other parts of the island. There is a charge for cleaning that was unexpected and would rather it be put in the fee to avoid surprises.

Very comfortable place. Awesome view. Great location

Great value for the money. We really enjoyed everything about the condo. Great view comfortable beds full kitchen had all needed for cooking. The back deck was awesome and charcoal grills by the pool. Plan on $100 for exit cleaning which is reasonable. Sandy is very easy to work with.
