CENTRAL LOCATION

Abbagail's Haven is located half way between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge on 441 and about a mile up the mountain. The marker on the map in this listing (under the 'Location' tab above) is accurate to our location.

ROADS/PARKING

The roads getting to the cabin are paved, but are typical mountain roads for the area--they can get a little steep. There is enough room for at least 2 cars (3 if they're small).

WINTER WEATHER

If you are visiting during winter months and the weather causes the roads to the cabin to be unsafe to use, I will work with you on changing or cancelling your reservation. Although the need for this is rare, you can rest assured that you won't be penalized for Mother Nature's unpredictability.

PRIVACY

Abbagail's Havein is on a dead-end road, with only a few more cabins beyond ours. This means that traffic going past the cabin will be VERY minimal, making for a very quiet setting. There are neighboring cabins on either side of Abbagail's Haven, although it is very easy to forget they're even there. Both are about 40 yards away. The neighboring cabin on the back side of the cabin (deck side) is separated from Abbagail's Haven by a small section of woods.

NEW FEATURES

Feb/Mar 2017: Brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances, deck extension and roof built over deck.

May 2017: Brand new living room furniture, lighting, and other helpful amenities.

Nov 2017: New bed and frame (not yet pictured).

CABIN LAYOUT/DESCRIPTION

Nestled up on the side of the mountain, in a beautiful Smoky Mountain wooded area, this romantic cabin is the ultimate in relaxation and comfort. The spacious bedroom opens onto the deck where your personal hot tub awaits on a roofed deck. The beautiful spiral staircase leads you up to the loft where you’ll find a cozy queen-size bed, and a pool table. The cabin has Cable TV and reliable WiFi Internet. The gas fireplace will keep you warm and cozy, with that extra romantic touch you’re looking for.

SECURITY

We use a new/unique door code for every guest. Once a guest checks out, their door code will no longer work. We also have a security camera on the front porch to help deter any wrongdoing.

CELL PHONE RECEPTION

While at Abbagail's Haven, most guests using a major carrier experience good cell phone reception. You may even want to check to see if your phone will allow for wifi-enabled calling. If so, your chances of good reception are even higher. When you're driving around the local Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area however, cell reception can be spotty.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER BOOKING

1 - About a week prior to your check-in date, I will email you a PDF that contains directions to the cabin, emergency contacts and other helpful information. Guests can also access this information by downloading the HomeAway app, and creating an account / logging in using the same email address on their reservation.

2 - On your check-in day, simply call me (Adam) around 4pm to get your unique code to the front door, whether you're in the area or not. There is no physical key, or place to check in--you just go directly to the cabin when you get to the area and use your code to get in. This is especially helpful for guests arriving later in the evening! Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am.

3 - If everything is left as it should be when you check out(nothing lost, broken, extra dirty, etc.), you should expect your full damage deposit to be refunded within two business days after you check out.
