Detailed Description:

Want to be in the tall pines but still close enough to enjoy the action? Want space and privacy but access to freeways, groceries, shopping, and attractions? Want to enjoy the Polar Express with your children and grandchildren without worrying about being snowed in? The Crowes Nest vacation rental is for you! This custom-built, 2800 square foot, 4+-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch-style home is located in Williams’ highly desirable Highland Meadows Golf Community. As a visitor, you will enjoy being in one of the only neighborhoods with city services, which alleviates your worries about winter access, water cisterns and propane tanks, and being in remote areas during bad weather.

Just a few miles off the freeway, the Crowes' Nest has beautiful Ponderosa pines one-third acre of land, yet you can get to the grocery store for that forgotten item in just a few minutes.

The main living area offers vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan with gourmet kitchen, dining area with bay window, and a large family seating area with hand-crafted stone gas fireplace. The kitchen includes granite countertops, a gas stove, stainless steel appliances, and a massive island with breakfast bar. While preparing gourmet meals for your family, enjoy DirecTV, a movie from the library, or records from days gone by! The Crowes' Nest record collection includes hits from Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, The Carpenters, John Denver, The Eagles, Triumph, and John Mayer. Don’t know what a record is or how to use one? No worries! There is an Ipod dock for your personal devices. The main TV is a 60”HD with 3D and Direct TV, so you are only as far from the modern world as you choose to be! Grind your own coffee beans each morning while taking in the morning views off the back patio, or snuggle on the couch and enjoy the fire.

The master suite offers a king bed and its own gas fireplace. The attached bathroom has double sinks, a jetted soaking tub, tiled shower with dual shower heads, a large walk-in closet, seating area, and access to the back patio.

On the opposite side of the home from the master suite are two additional bedrooms and a separate bath. The first bedroom is large, with a king bed, seating/office area, and access to the back yard. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a private patio with arcadia doors. Each of these bedrooms has a private sink/vanity and they share a bathtub/shower and commode room.

The fourth bedroom is in the front of the house and offers views of the street (often see deer and elk walking down the road!) and has several bird feeders right outside the window. It offers a KING bed and seating area.

Opposite the fourth bedroom, at the front of the house, is a bonus room set up for games, movies, and reading. It has an XBOX 360 with gaming, video, and book libraries to keep everyone entertained on quiet evenings.

Enjoy nature and wildlife? There are multiple bird feeders on the property to attract our feathered friends. Enjoy the rocking couch while watching local birds and squirrels. Early in the morning and at dusk you will often see herds of deer in and around the property and throughout Highland Meadows. The night sky offers incredible star gazing for the astronomers in your family or group. The back yard is fully fenced for your furry family members, who are welcome to visit with some restrictions and an additional fee. The outdoor gas grill is connected to city natural gas, so no worries about propane tanks running dry. Dine “al fresco” at the outdoor table with seating for 8-10 guests. The patio is covered so you can enjoy the outdoor rocking couch and seating areas rain or shine!

Garage is not accessible to renters, but there is storage behind a gate for any toys you want to bring along! The home does not have A/C; this is typical for Williams and allows you enjoy the mountain breezes.

Great home for a family of 8! Plenty of space and amenities.

  • 4 of 5

The Crowes Nest was lovely. After camping for 3+ days it’s was so nice to clean up and rest in super comfortable beds! The family space was great. Lots of games played, food made and consumed and even an end of vacation dance party with the kids. The patio was lovely. The last morning a few of us were able to see a heard of 20-30 mule deer in the backyard area. Only improvements would be a little better WiFi. It was spotty. There were a handful of spiders. One that crawled out of the drain when I started a bath for one of the kiddos. The jetted tub in the master also hadn’t been used in a bit as some black sediment came out. None of that ruined a great family vacation! Would for sure recommend your lovey home! Close to town and in a quiet neighborhood. Thanks for such a blessing! - the Karr Clan

Disappointed! Ketina H

  • 2 of 5

I had such high expectations for this rental after reading all the positive reviews. I must say that my experience wasn't all that positive. Upon entering the home and taking a look around I noticed some damage to the walls and stains on the sofa. I immediately took pictures of the damages and sent them to the property manager so that I would not be blamed for them. The first day that we arrived our plan was to just relax and watch TV. Well that didn't happen since the TV was only working intermittently. I contacted Caitlin since she was the property manager. She didn't respond very quickly. When I did hear back from her to inform her about the trouble we were experiencing with the TV, she didn't seem to think that it was a priority to get it fixed right away. She told me that she would deal with it the next morning. Really...so I'm spending all this money to rent this property and you're not going to even try to fix it tonight? So my family and I were forced to just sit around and enjoy each other's company since the TV wasn't working properly. Once we were ready for bed and turned the covers back we noticed that the sheets on all the beds were very wrinkled and somewhat worn. The towels in the bathrooms were wrinkled as well. Wow I wasn't expecting that from a property this expensive. The next morning the TV still wasn't working so I reminded Caitlin to have it fixed. We didn't press the issue since we knew that we would be out and about all day. I just knew that it would be fixed when we returned, but that wasn't the case. I contacted Caitlin again and all I got was excuses about how she couldn't reach the owner. A simple call to the cable company would have fixed the TV issue but that didn't happen. I don't feel that Caitlin tried too hard since she had an unconcerned attitude about it from the start. I always had to contact her when it should have been the other way around. That's what customer service is all about. To sum it up we stayed at this property all weekend without a working TV after spending quite a bit to rent it. We weren't accommodated in any way. All I received was apologies and excuses from the person that was supposed to be managing this property. A property manager's #1 priority is to make sure that the renter/customer is accommodated in every way. Caitlin needs more practice in that area. Other than that we enjoyed our time at the Grand Canyon and Bearizona to celebrate my Grandmother's 84th birthday.

Perfect Christmas Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights here over Christmas with my brother (4 adults and 7 children). It was perfect! Spacious, well-stocked and even decorated with a beautiful wreath on the front door and a tree in the den. Caitlin was great to work with, and Williams is a wonderful town. The house is a perfect location to take advantage of the Polar Express and quaint Christmas activities in Williams and a great homebase for visiting the Grand Canyon and other nearby attractions. Thanks to Caitlin for helping us have an amazing experience!

Beautiful location, close to Elephant Rocks Golf Course.

  • 5 of 5

Owners are very responsive. House is beautiful, just as represented in the ad. Location was perfect for us, my son was getting married at the golf course, and we needed a comfy place for the family and large bridal party to get ready for the big day. The weather was chilly outside, but the home was toasty warm, And has more than enough extra blankets to snuggle up with in front of the fire. I would definitely recommend The Crowes Nest to family and friends.

WONDERFUL HOME WITH AN OPEN FLOOR PLAN AND GREAT PATIO

  • 5 of 5

Loved the amenities and location of this home! My only regret is that we did not stay longer. You will not be disappointed in this home and the information they provide when you arrive makes it easy to hook up to the internet and the step by step instructions for departure are great.
