About the property

3 Bedrooms,, 2.5 Bath, Saco Riverside Condo

Our three-story condo is half of a duplex at the end of a group of eight units located directly on the Saco River; one and a half miles to Attitash, two and a half miles to Storyland. There are excellent year-round water views, and in the summer, tubing and swimming right out the back door. We are close to all the Washington Valley attractions and the location north of town puts you outside the in-town traffic.

The main floor is open concept, with the riverside wall almost completely made of windows with views of the river. There is also a wood burning fireplace and a big screen TV for winter nights.

The sleeping rooms consist of two bedrooms on the second floor and a third floor loft. Each of the second floor bedrooms has a queen bed and an attached bathroom. The loft has a twin bunk bed and a futon that sleeps two. There is a full sized sofa bed in the living room. Altogether there is bed space for 6 and convertible bed space for up to 2, easily accommodating two families. The master bed has a wood-burning fireplace, views of the river, and a jetted tub in the attached bath; so it is also a very nice place for a couple to spend the weekend.

On the exterior, there is the Saco River. There’s a walking path along the river and stairs down to the water. We also have a private deck facing the river as well as a screened porch. A favorite place to eat a breakfast of oatmeal is on a rock right in the middle of the river.

Trimmed in redwood and solidly built, the property has been well maintained inside and out. It is well-equipped, and we put in new carpeting and new furnishings in Oct of 2013. If you need them, there are also a washer and dryer in the first floor half bath.

Linens are not provided, but can be arranged if needed.

About Owner/Property Manager

We live in Portsmouth and enjoy traveling to the White Mountains and the Mt Washington Valley. We are skiers and avid hikers. We have three children and even though they are teenagers, we still like traveling north together.

Owner/Property Manager purchased this condo in 2012

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Glen

It is very close to Attitash, and it is on the Saco river. It is a great year-round location. It is well built in a small development of only eight condos. There are redwood cabinets throughout and the doors are all solid wood. We also like that the ground floor is open concept. The cook can easily see the entire floor from the kitchen. At the same time the sleeping areas are well segregated. It even has a fireplace and a jetted tub in the master bedroom.

What makes this condo unique

This townhome is north of Conway. This location keeps you out of in-town traffic and puts you just minutes to all the winter and summer activities in the Mt. Washington Valley. Once you have been stalled out by the in-town traffic, you really understand just the perfect location of this townhome.

Lovely Condo, Excellent Location, Great Hiking

  • 5 of 5

We spent several days in August in this condo, which we found to be very comfortable and in a great location for hiking. The condo is very close to the Saco River, with easy access down a set of stairs for wading and exploring. The Condo is very comfortable, with lovely views of the river and quality appliances. The location is ideal for summer hiking. The trails of Crawford Notch are a half-hour drive (without having to go through North Conway) with great hikes to the Presidential Range. The Moat Mountain trail is only a ten minute drive, while the Stanton river trail head is an easy walk from the Condo. The Condo is a great place to stay for summer activities in the White Mountains.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review from a hiker's perspective. We are glad you were comfortable and enjoyed your time at our condo. We hope to have you back in the future. We put in an order for new glass on the sunroom, so the view will be even better next summer.

Spectacular rental in a special location!

  • 5 of 5

We will be renting this townhouse for the third year in a row this summer...we obviously LOVE it! It is in such an incredible tranquil location with the sound of the river through the open windows, but right next to everything you want/need, likefishing, hiking, storyland, adventures! Best of all worlds! The townhouse is so comfortable and well maintained and we have come to love it as a home away from home when we are on vacation!!!

By far, the best place we ever stayed!

  • 5 of 5

Everything we could ever need or want, the owners provided. We felt as if we had a home while on vacation. Everything was neat, clean, modern and easy. The owners responded promptly to our requests from day one. This is the best place we ever stayed in the White Mt area, and we have been in the Whites dozens of times. Very quiet and private. I highly recommend it!!

We couldn't be more pleased! This condo was perfect for our extended family. Our three young grandsons had their own large loft room (not open to the living area) on the third floor. They enjoyed floating their toy boats in the river, wading, and playing on the little sandy beach. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed. The board games were a hit. Beds were comfortable. The place was clean and well furnished.

The deck and the screened in porch were perfect for relaxing and listening to the sounds of the Saco River. We also enjoyed hiking in the area and shopping in N. Conway. All so convenient. We hope to return some day, but it's a long way from Michigan!

Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Great Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

decided about three weeks before our trip to rent a condo vs. staying in a hotel so communication was going to be key in getting a place booked. Monica was prompt and replied to our inquiry immediately. Within a few days we had signed the paperwork and sent in payment.

Arrived on check in day and everything was perfect. Unit was clean and well stocked. Kids enjoyed the Saco being right out the back door. Location was great. Kids are already asking to go back.

Security deposit was returned promptly.

We didn't want to leave...and can't wait to return.

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to New Hampshire for a family vacation with 2 adults and our four children and decided to rent a home as opposed to 2 hotel rooms and this house turned out to be amazing. First, Monica and Bill made everything very easy from the get go, right down to emailing us well in advance with all the arrival information we needed. Upon arrival the home was extremely clean (which is so important to us) and you can tell immediately that everything is new and well maintained. The photos just don't do this house complete justice. The house allowed us plenty of space to be comfortable, both indoors and out and the sound of the river throughout the entire home is so relaxing. We had a blast renting tubes from right down the street ($10 each for the entire day) and tubed the Saco from Attitash back to the house.

This home is centrally located to everything we wanted to do on our trip and after a long day of hiking or playing, it was a relaxing oasis to come back to. I'd love to return in the fall to see the foliage and be able to use the fireplaces and we really miss waking up to the sound of the Saco every morning.

Thank you Monica and Bill. We sure hope to be back soon!
