5 Br, 5 Bath, 4300 Sf Estate... Luxury Living In The Country

For those of you who don't know the Bozeman area:

Bozeman is a wonderful blend of spectacular outdoor scenery and activities along with a vibrant artistic and cultural life. Three world-class ski areas-- Big Sky, Moonlight Basin, and Bridger Bowl are all within a 45-minute drive, and cross-country skiing exists at every turn. World-famous Yellowstone National Park is only 90 minutes away and is open year-round. Extraordinary fishing, hunting, horse-back riding, rafting, hiking, and animal-watching are in every direction. With its university base, the area draws a great variety of musical, dance, and performing arts venues. Downtown Bozeman is an historic district filled with boutiques, galleries, and restaurants.

About our French country estate:

Our home is located 7 miles west of downtown Bozeman, right next to a channel of the Gallatin River, which is an internationally renowned trout-fishing stream. Nature abounds... birds are everywhere in this riparian area, including eagles, hawks, owls, geese, ducks, cranes, woodpeckers, plus smaller birds. You'll see deer daily, and wild turkeys and badgers on occasion.

The house is spacious: 4300 sf plus a 3-car garage. As in any French country home, life revolves around the kitchen and great room. The pine floors, antiques, stone fireplace, and overhead pan rack convey an instant warmth and sense of escape. You'll enjoy two large islands and a spacious pantry. You have seating for 4 in the breakfast nook and for another three at the island. The kitchen is fully equipped with fine silverware, plates, and cooking utensils.

Our estate is a wonderful spot for family reunions and get-aways. It is not, however, a "party house". Covenants do not allow parking on the street, but the three garage bays and driveway allow for a maximum of five cars. Covenants also do not allow loud outside music.

The large dining room with arched windows extends the European country feel, with antique pine furniture, dried flowers, and antique light fixtures. Eight people can dine comfortably at the table. If you want some real peace-and-quiet, escape to the den with a good book. The tall windows let in the early morning light or starlight at night.

The large master bedroom, with vaulted ceiling, brings the wild outdoors right into the room. From the antique bed, you'll look out across a field to the snow-capped Bridger Mountains, and if you leave the door open at night, you'll hear the stream gurgling behind the house. All our beds are truly 'heavenly', with compression foam, feather beds, and down comforters.

The large master bathroom, with granite counter-tops and cherry cabinets, has dual sinks and a large soaking tub with unobstructed views of the mountains. You have large his-and-hers walk-in closets and a tiled shower.

The other 3 bedrooms are all large, have ample closet-space, and have their own private and spacious full bathrooms. Views from the large windows of the surrounding natural areas and wildlife are phenomenal. A reminder... all beds are 'heavenly' equipped!

The spacious bonus room above the garage has a queen bed and also a twin bed, so can be used as a 5th bedroom. It is immediately adjacent to a bathroom upstairs. We have a couple air-beds that can be laid out in the bonus room, the dance room, or the den.

The upstairs deck off the dance floor overlooks the river and wooded area behind the house, and the expansive 1st-floor patio spans the entire back side of the house, allowing plentiful space for barbecuing and outside dining.

The yard and garden are immaculate, with automatic sprinkler system. In the summer, the gardens and flower-boxes are overflowing with floral colors!

The large garage is heated and has three stalls, each with a remote opener.

Bozeman Hot Springs is only five minutes away... one of the finest upscale hot springs in the world. Enjoy any of the 9 pools, sauna, steam room, or exercise rooms.

You can drive to any of the major ski areas in the area-- Big Sky, Moonlight Basin, or Bridger Bowl, in under 40 minutes, or you can catch the free ski shuttle to Big Sky and Moonlight Basin that is only 2 minutes away. There are 4 major fishing and guiding shops within 2 miles of the house.
