Living room with fireplace and 60' LED TV and smart DVD. Living, dining, and kitchen are open space. There are two Master suite bedrooms, each has 60 ' LED TV and the other two guest bedroom have 46' LED TV in each. All bedrooms have Queen size beds. Washington, DC Metro-Subway is directly in from of the house. 6 Block walk to the US Capitol, and all DC landmarks.

You can experience the four seasons of Washington, DC and the convenience to everything that is downtown, and the federal area without paying extra or costly accommodation prices.

The townhome has 1680 square feet of living area, full kitchen, open dining and living room. The Subway (Underground or Tube) Mass Transit Rail (MTR) Station is simply a walk across the street to the entrance.

We had a very good experience. Each one had a room with a bath and a TV (another TV in the living room). It did not feel crowded. All the appliances worked perfectly, the house was in good shape and very well located. The Metro is literally across the street. There are convenient stores and restaurants around which make the experience even better. The owners answer the calls or mails quickly.

Perfect location, great large clean space!

We stayed in this Eastern Market home in mid-April. We were a group of 10 and the house was perfectly set up for a larger number of people with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Everything was very clean and in good condition. Previous reviews mentioned older linens but we had been told that everything was being refreshed a few months before we arrived. We found this to be correct. The white sheets and towels all looked new, paint on the walls also looked fresh. We found the location to be perfect as it is across the street from the Eastern Market subway stop, only 2 metro stops from Capital Hill and 1 or 2 stops more to all the Smithsonian museums, Washington Monument etc. There was a Trader Joe's and CVS across the street, coffee shops, bakeries, pizza etc. within a block. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again when in Washington.

Amazing location for a stay in D.C.!

Normally, I'd give this 4 stars, but the location is so good, I hate to rate it down (see later comments). We spent a week here with seven of us total (my wife and I in the front master, our son and his wife in the second master, our 17 year old grandson and his 7 year old brother in the upstairs bedroom, and our 14 year old granddaughter in the downstairs bedroom). We all had a bathroom, and the two master baths are pretty nice too. The kitchen and appliances were fine. The house was cozy and roomy enough for the seven of us.

What really made this house ideal for a D.C. vacation was its location. It's a two minute walk to the Metro, so we never even needed a cab or a car for anything. We got off the plane, grabbed our bags, hopped on the Metro, and half hour later we stepped into the house. Right across Pennsylvania Ave. there is a Trader Joe's grocery store, so we could get anything we want with a 4-5 minute walk. There's also an organic grocery store around the corner, and there are quite a few fast food places to eat around the corner as well.

For getting around D.C. in the Mall area, we mostly walked, because the Capitol and Library of Congress are less than a half mile away. We also walked to the Spirit of Mount Vernon, a day cruise down the Potomac to George Washington's house (highly recommended). It was less than a 2 mile walk, but the weather was perfect. For days where we walked a lot in the Mall area (some days were 12 mile days), we were pretty tired, so we hopped on the Metro for the return trip to the house. The house location just couldn't be any better or convenient.

As a couple of other visitors stated, the beds (even though they were queen size) were not impressive at all. Ours in the front master was tough to get a good nights sleep on - it's a good thing we were tired every night! After our stay, I wrote to the owner, who was very accommodating to every request we made. Tina was very responsive and even provided us with lots of umbrellas before we got there - snow was predicted along with seven days of rain - but it turned out we never got a drop of rain. A few of the kitchen utensils should be replaced, but otherwise we'd highly recommend this house to anyone visiting D.C. The size of the house, the 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, and the amazing location should satisfy most anyone.

Overall great place...

This place is in the perfect location! You are right next to a Metro stop, a Metrorail stop, and a DC Circulator stop. Trader Joe's is across the street. There are several restaurants within walking distance.

The place is large and easily accommodates 8 people, especially with the multiple bathrooms.

The only real negative dealt with what would be the master bedroom. It has a bright light outside the window that is so bright that it looks like daylight in the middle of the night and the bed is way too soft, rolling to the outside. Our first night was awful. We didn't sleep at all. I found an eye mask to wear for the next few nights which was better but it was still difficult. Investing in a new mattress and night shades would be very helpful.

We would definitely consider staying here again!

Great location

The location is directly across the street from the Metro, which allows you to get almost anywhere fast.

The residence was really nice and everything, but the internet and cable, worked great. I agree with one of the previous reviews that mentioned the linens and mattresses. The towels had stains in them, the mattresses were not comfortable at all. Obviously the people who manage the house and the ones responsible for cleaning don't take the time to ensure the house is thoroughly cleaned up before the next family comes in. It's terrible to have a great place but don't put the effort into updating linens for people or keeping it clean which I'm sure lies in the mgmt company. This is really all that needs to be done. It still gets five stars because the it was well located and was a nice place.
