This place worked great for all of our needs. It had a cozy lodge and rustic feel equipped with everything that we needed. It was very comfortable and we liked that if we could stay all socialize easily in one room. The place was charming and located in a picturesque setting yet not far from town. Hosts were responsive, flexible and easy to work with.

Granite Peak Ski Trip
we had a wonderful trip!! The cabin was very spacious and had everything we needed!! We loved everything about the place!! I felt like we were tucked away in the forest, and yet everything we needed was within miles. We had an amazing trip and will definitely be back. Steve and Alison were great hosts!!! They always got back to us right away!! Thank you for everything!!

Deer Camp 2023
Second year we have rented this place for deer season opener. The cabin/house has all the needed ammenities and more and is charming and very clean. We love the feel of being up north but not needing to make that drive. The hosts are very accomodating.

Thanksgiving Retreat
We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and had a lovely time. The home was very comfortable and decorated for Christmas. We would definitely stay again when we return to Wausau.

My wife and I have four young boys. We lived at this location for several years until we were expecting Boy #3 at which time we began to look for something with a little more space. We absolutely loved living here. There are very few places like this in the area. It is quiet and secluded with abundant wildlife. We loved the warm, cozy log home feel with the fireplaces and abundant wood and rustic decor. Besides that, it is located only 2 miles from the city limits so we didn't have to drive a long way out of town to enjoy all of those benefits. If our growing family did not necessitate a bit more living space, we would certainly still be living there today! Our love for this place has caused us to want to share it with others, specifically hosting vacationers to the wonderful Central Wisconsin area. We are certain that you will enjoy staying there as much as we did!
