Our charming c.1784 farmhouse has gorgeous pastoral views, rolling hills, sweeping skies and is close to hiking, restaurants, shopping, art & culture. You'll love the farmhouse because its sun-filled rooms have a gracious aesthetic, which takes you back to simpler times! Our place is located on a dead-end country road.
Note: Some photos of the bedrooms coming soon; we are renovating, stripping old wallpaper and painting the walls for a fresh clean finish, to be ready for July and August bookings.
This is a beautiful home in a country setting. Our place is perfect for a romantic get-away, travelers, artists, business, contemplatives, a retreat, and for anybody looking for a charming comfortable place to experience country life for brief or extended stays. Enjoy an evening meal or tapas on the magnificent screened porch enjoying the sweeping views and peace. The porch also is great for dancing or yoga!
The farmhouse will provide you plenty of privacy on 35 acres. The property is divided in half by a road, and we live across the street in our beautiful artist's bungalo, so we're accessible if you need us. We both have our artists studios in the barn, and you may catch a passing glimpse of paintings and sculpture in the works as we come and go from across the street.
You won't want to leave! But if you do go exploring there is plenty to do in the nearby Monadnock Region, Lakes Region, White Mountains, and Seacoast. If you love hiking, there are easy hikes on nearby Temple, North Pack, Pack Monadnock, Winn, Lyndeborough and Rose Mountains, and for a challenge you’ll want to hike Mount Monadnock.
Historic Peterborough is just a short drive to restaurants, art galleries and shopping.
