Spacious Victorian style cottage with all the modern conveniences. Sweet front porch and large rear patio for outdoor living. Private, quiet location, yet steps away from dining, shopping and wine tasting in historic Amador City. Over 40 wineries are a short drive away.

Halcyon House has been available on another travel site for over a year and every single guest has given us five stars!

The house features a main floor master with king bed and full bath. Second floor includes one king bedroom and one queen, with second bath. Both upstairs bedrooms have dormers with day beds, perfect for kiddos or a reading nook. Kitchen is fully furnished with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, small appliances and coffee, tea, creamer and sweetener.

Front porch next to the tiny pond is one spot for outdoor relaxation. Large private back patio offers lounge area, dining table and grill. Propane tank and grill cleaner are included. Please let me know if you run out of either.

Excellent place for a group. The house has everything we needed to have a fun and delightful time for our gals group. All very well thought out and well appointed. It was beautiful inside and out. Would definitely return when in the area.

Amador City Treasure!
Just returned from two nights at this lovely property! There were six of us friends on a wine tasting adventure! This home was by far the best VRBO I've had the experience of using! It was private and in a charming setting. The host was diligent in replying to my inquiries! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed, plenty of bath towels, etc! I would recommend this to anyone who would be going to this area!

Perfect Family Retreat
This was the perfect place for our family to stay! My sister just got married at Hotel Sutter but because my family is a larger than average we opted to get our own place instead of staying at the hotel. This house was PERFECTION! It is so clean and comfortable plus it has everything you could possibly need! I’m a self professed linen snob, the sheets and towels are lovely here, they even provide good toilet paper! The kitchen has all the utensils, appliances, dishes and serving ware you could possibly need. I really appreciated the great extras, I brought a steamer but there was already one there with the iron. My kids who had to share rooms appreciated how there was some privacy between the beds. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the setup and decorating of this home. My 9 year old LOVED the backyard play space, it was a wonderful way for her to decompress after all the formal events of the weekend. The location of the house is quiet, safe and secure. The hosts were easy to contact and there is also a local property manager if there is an immediate need. If our family ever has a need to travel to the area again we will be staying here. Thank you!

Well Done
Perfect place for 6 women to enjoy. House is clean, darling and is set-up with everything one would need. We loved sitting out in the back patio watching deer walk past. The town is a very short walk and fun to explore. We are already planning our next girl's trip. Owner was very responsive. 5 star place for sure!
