About Jordan MacPherson

Roger and Nancy MacPherson along with their daughter Jordan MacPherson have worked to make this vacation destination an unparalleled experience. Together they have owned properties in Puerto Vallarta for over 25 years now and have always loved the friendly family culture and inviting environment. Villa Estrella Mar in Puerto Vallarta was built with the idea of having an authentic rustic Mexican architectural experience. The Carriage House is a lovely addition to Villa Estrella Mar, but we happily rent it out separately. Jordan handles all of the rentals for the property.

Jordan MacPherson purchased this apartment in 1995

Why Jordan MacPherson chose Amapas

The Romantic zone in Puerto Vallarta is a true treasure of Mexico, nestled below the plush jungle hillsides with its cobblestone roads and beautiful homes with phenomenal views. As the city has grown it has maintained its friendly personality and rustic feel, you will see families strolling hand in hand down the Malecon and will always feel safe. Whether you are looking for an escape for the stresses of your every day life or a trip full of adventure, Puerto Vallarta will not disappoint.

Loved Our Visit!

  • 5 of 5

Everyone was wonderful and sooooo gracious and helpful! We were greeted with a fresh pitcher of margaritas and a plate of fresh guacamole. The apartment was lovely and cleaned daily (!) which was unreal. Would comment that the steps down to beach are a bit steep and the climb up was a little taxing. We loved the proximity to Old Town and the beach. A very doable location for anything you may want to do. Wish we had more time there!

Wonderful Getaway March 2017

  • 5 of 5

Book with confidence! It is exactly what you see in the pictures (only better) We were met at the airport, delivered to the Carriage House, Paco was waiting for us and showed us everything we needed to know! The Carriage house is like having your own place in PV. The King bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels are lovely! The beach is wonderful, and many times you have it all to yourselves! The path to the beach has many stairs, but is absolutely worth it! Just as described, you can go right onto the Malecon at the bottom of the stairs and enjoy all of the beach bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the walk down the cobblestone street right behind the Villa which took us into Old Puerto Vallarta in less than 10 minutes! Once we booked online Jordan was amazing and emailed us immediately with all the property details, recommended restaurants and excursions! This was so helpful! I would highly recommend this property and we will visit again! All of the Villa staff were very professional and friendly. After our Puerto Vallarta Eats tour, we were very familiar with Old PV and visited the markets for fresh fruit, eggs and veggies. Some of our favourite restaurants are: Moriscos Cisneros, Cafe de Olla, Cuale Paradiso and El Brujo. Thank you McPherson Family for sharing your lovely Villa Estrella Mar, and Carriage House. • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and it was absolutely gorgeous! It's even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Very comfortable and close to town as well as the beach. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Definitely recommend this place for anybody staying in PV.

Lovely find with lots of charm

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I rented the Carriage house for 4 nights over New Year's. We agree with many of the sentiments expressed by others. It is a lovely place, comfortable with charming decor. We loved that there was access to two types of beaches. At the bottom of the stairs, you can go to the left and be on a quiet, relatively unused beach. Or you can go to the right and be on the most popular PV beaches (Los Muertos). We were at the Carriage house on an extremely busy weekend in PV and one of the lovely aspects of the area of the beach that the stairs lead to is it has a small area of shade - one of the few shady areas on the beach and is quieter than the otherwise really busy, crowded beach. We appreciated the fact that the MacPherson's had a couple of beach chairs in the Carriage house so that we could spend long, lazy days comfortably sitting reading books on the beach, where you can rent an umbrella or buy yummy food, such as ceviche, from any one of numerous vendors. This beach is a pleasant alternative to walking the cobblestone into town. Speaking of the cobblestone, I recommend having some sturdy shoes. I wore thin-soled flats the first time and it was a little rough. The one downside is that the house is quite noisy. It is right near a very busy street and there is the constant noise of cars in the background. While we were there, a lot of construction was going on in the neighborhood, which started relatively early.

Just the perfect spot!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow!! My husband and I were looking forward to coming here in the first place but we REALLY loved it. It's such a cute little place - quiet, peaceful, and with a beautiful private staircase that leads to both a small, peaceful beach (Amapas) AND Los Muertos beach! So handy. To get down to the action (bars, restaurants, clubs) you can walk down the street, but we just took the stairs down and walked across the beach to get there every time. Just as easy.

Apart from the great location, we loved hanging out on the balcony in the morning, and we REALLY loved grabbing the awesome lounge chairs provided (and a 6 pack), walking down the stairs, and lazing the day away on the beach. The daily maid service was also a huge bonus that we weren't expecting!

Overall, literally no down sides to this place. The perfect spot if you want to explore and have fun in the romantic zone, but come back to a peaceful abode at the end of the night. Thanks Jordan!

Wonderful location just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town that you get a good night's sleep and the retreat you deserve, but close enough to the action that you can visit the fantastic restaurants by just walking down the beach, or take a quick cab ride down to the Malecon for some entertaining night life.
