About this property

Waterfront Beach House on Georgian Bay

Our waterfront, 4 season cottage is nestled in the trees overlooking the crystal clear water of Georgian Bay with direct access to the wide, sandy beach. Expansive views and spectacular sunsets from inside the open concept living space or outside on the deck. Featuring a gas fireplace, rustic pine floors and wrap around windows - ideal for your next retreat/vacation. Tennis, downhill skiing (Mount St Louis), skating, cycling/hiking trails, golf, go-karting and horseback riding nearby.

Built in 1940, the Beach House received a substantial update in 2017 with a new high efficiency furnace and hot water tank, as well as wiring and plumbing improvements. It offers 1330 square feet of living space. Wifi is high speed and service is excellent. The lower level has been converted into a TV and play room - featuring a sectional sofa with a pull-out queen bed - effectively a third sleeping area.

The beach house faces open water with visibility of 80 to 100 feet. Excellent for swimming and snorkelling (snorkels supplied). It's about a 30 minute drive (a bit longer by boat) to the UNESCO-designated Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve - the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The reserve stretches along the eastern coast of Georgian Bay from Port Severn to French River. It supports extraordinary biodiversity in a rich mosaic of forests, wetlands, and rocky habitat types. As for Ossossane Beach - cottages here tend to be passed down through the generations... we've travelled far and wide but this place is definitely a little piece of paradise. The beach community is friendly and very relaxed.

We live in downtown Toronto when we are not at the beach house...but will always be available by phone, text or email for any questions or concerns. You will access keys via a lock box on the front door. And you will be provided with a detailed guest manual and useful numbers upon arrival.

Our cottage is located an easy 90 minute drive from the GTA and a 12 minute drive to Midland.

Georgian Bay Gem
I have been visiting this area in Tiny ever since I the year I was born, and I have never stayed in a better location. This is a classic, no-fuss Ontario cottage to come into after a day on the private beach and relax with friends or family. The house is amazingly well equipped and cozy with a newly renovated games room in the basement and comfortable sleeping arrangements with the sound of the bay to keep you company. Perfectly located fire pit and outside dining overlooking sublime sunsets on pristine waters. Couldn't ask for more.

Felt like home
For us, this cottage was everything we were hoping for. After selling our own family cottage, just several cottages down the beach, we were desperate to get back to the area for our long overdue beach getaway. The cottage still has some of it's original feel (which we loved!) with several amazing up grades - full basement reno (perfect for some extra separate space), bathroom reno, awesome new breakfast nook that made sitting around the table comfortable and spacious, and the most comfortable pullout couch I have ever slept on! Of course, the main attraction is the million dollar view from the cottage/deck and the beach is just a stone's throw away. We were use to rocks in the water in front of our old place...but not here! Best spot on the beach. Fully equipped with everything you need for your stay so you can travel light and worry free, also exceptionally clean. Thank you Sharry, looking forward to next summer already!
