Our waterfront, 4 season cottage is nestled in the trees overlooking the crystal clear water of Georgian Bay with direct access to the wide, sandy beach. Expansive views and spectacular sunsets from inside the open concept living space or outside on the deck. Featuring a gas fireplace, rustic pine floors and wrap around windows - ideal for your next retreat/vacation. Tennis, downhill skiing (Mount St Louis), skating, cycling/hiking trails, golf, go-karting and horseback riding nearby.
Built in 1940, the Beach House received a substantial update in 2017 with a new high efficiency furnace and hot water tank, as well as wiring and plumbing improvements. It offers 1330 square feet of living space. Wifi is high speed and service is excellent. The lower level has been converted into a TV and play room - featuring a sectional sofa with a pull-out queen bed - effectively a third sleeping area.
The beach house faces open water with visibility of 80 to 100 feet. Excellent for swimming and snorkelling (snorkels supplied). It's about a 30 minute drive (a bit longer by boat) to the UNESCO-designated Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve - the world's largest freshwater archipelago. The reserve stretches along the eastern coast of Georgian Bay from Port Severn to French River. It supports extraordinary biodiversity in a rich mosaic of forests, wetlands, and rocky habitat types. As for Ossossane Beach - cottages here tend to be passed down through the generations... we've travelled far and wide but this place is definitely a little piece of paradise. The beach community is friendly and very relaxed.
We live in downtown Toronto when we are not at the beach house...but will always be available by phone, text or email for any questions or concerns. You will access keys via a lock box on the front door. And you will be provided with a detailed guest manual and useful numbers upon arrival.
Our cottage is located an easy 90 minute drive from the GTA and a 12 minute drive to Midland.
