Built in 1800, this beautiful brick cape house has been fully renovated with gorgeous walk-in shower and bathtub, modern open kitchen and open floor plan. Steps from all the amenities of the Woodstock Inn, including spa, bar and restaurant but with all the privacy of a country home. The house has three decks, a cozy wood burning stove, skylights galore and a spacious backyard and garden. Enjoy a bath while gazing out at the rose garden, read a book by the fire, sip wine in one of the rockers on the front porch, then stroll downtown to see the galleries, and have a gourmet meal at one of Woodstock's many fine restaurants. Without getting in your car, you can climb Mt. Tom, go cross-country skiing, or shopping.

Wassail Weekend in Woodstock, VT
Six adults stayed 2 nights at the property. It's a nice old house full of character. The 2 king bedrooms are lovely, one with en suite bath. The bunk room is a bit cramped and we could not find stairs for the upper bunk, (which we did not use). The room with the futon downstairs is a bit "public" but worked out OK. Our biggest disappointment was that the wood-burning stove was out of order. It would have made the house so much more cozy. The kitchen and living spaces were fine and well equipped. We liked the short distance to the Green and village. The only other problem was access via the driveway, which is steep and rather narrow. Unfortunately, the weather was very cold and wet and the hill and driveway were very slippery. It was a real problem but no one's fault but the wintery weather. We'd stay here again but would like the stove to be fixed! Thank you.

Great Location
Great location and beautiful home! Pictures don't do it justice. I stayed here with a group of 6 girls and there was more than enough room for all of us. Walking distance to the Woodstock Inn and the shops downtown. Would definitely recommend this home!

Conscientious and responsive owners
Sarah and Ryan quickly and ably responded to issues that almost inevitably accompany checking into an unfamiliar property. In addition, the property was as advertised.

Woodstock wonder
This house was absolutely perfect for our family during a June weekend when we were in town for a wedding - it is perfectly charming, well appointed and walkable to town - we had a magical visit and stay!

This was an unusual house for a VRBO. It seemed as though the owners had moved out for a week and we moved in. The refrigerator was full of old jars of condiments, the freezer was completely full of items, including several ice cream cartons whose lids were missing and whose contents had melted over the freezer's other contents. The refrigerator looked as though it hadn't been cleaned out in a long time. While the kitchen was very well-equipped, it had not been thoroughly cleaned. Some of the bedrooms had no curtains, and the morning sun woke us up at a very early hour. The queen bed in an upstairs bedroom creaked when its occupant moved, and we noticed that this condition had been reported in previous reviews of the property and obviously not fixed. Closets were full of items and were very messy. The hot water heater could not keep up with the demand of six people taking showers; once we ran out of water (after three showers), it took four hours for the hot water to return. When we contacted the owners about this situation, they were completely unresponsive. We also contacted VRBO and Home Away about this, and these agencies could not get responses from the owners either. The location was wonderful, but the overall conditions in the house were substandard, especially at the price we paid to rent the property for a week.
