This high-end luxury home with separate guest annex can be booked either as a 3-bed/3-bath (for up to 6 people) or 4-bed/4-bath rental (for parties of 8). The open plan arrangement with high spec kitchen, dining and sitting areas makes for a very, very social space. Beautiful outdoor spaces all add to the feeling of staying in a beautiful comfortable home with a real family feel about it. Built in 2007 the 10’ x 40’ windows provide a unique panoramic view over the Bayside from every view point and the serpentine shaped pool provides a cool relief from the heat of the beach and an ideal retreat to watch some of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see.

Positioned almost at the waters edge, the property has its own private dock (for boat lovers slips are available to rent) and just a 3-minute walk up and over the sand dunes behind and you can be on the pink sands beach. Truly the best of both worlds ...

Definitely worth high-lighting that the property has:

- Emergency power generator (power interruptions can be frequent)

- Reverse Osmosis water purification (the Town water pressure can sometimes be incredibly low and it might be days before you can get a shower so it really is a massive plus to be able to switch over to our RO System without having to worry about this. The other benefit of course is that Town water can’t be drunk safely – but RO water can)

Surprisingly, lots of rental homes on the Island don’t have either. The house also comes with high speed WiFi, Cable TV, air-conditioning.

Please be aware that we charge an additional $100 per night to rent the guest annex so if you are a party of 8 we will update the quotation to reflect this on receipt of a reservation request.

Getting Here - Harbour Island is a 5 minute taxi / water taxi ride from North Eleuthera Airport where there are daily flights from Nassau, Miami and Fort Lauderdale – a Fast Ferry services also operates daily from Nassau – quite a spectacular journey it is too.

Spectacular Comfort in Paradise

From the moment we booked our stay at The White House, I knew it was going to be special. Anita, the house manager sent over the welcome guide which is extremely thorough and helpful when planning your stay on Harbour Island. Our travel times were a bit odd, but they were very accommodating. The home was beautiful, absolutely as pictured, clean and well appointed. There wasn’t an appliance or item that we needed that wasn’t there. And the property was beyond amazing. The grounds were well maintained, the pool was spectacular, and the views are breathtaking.

Any questions or needs we had, someone was a quick email or phone call away to assist! For example, when we couldn’t find the beach chairs, Anita emailed immediately, and the groundskeeper Shabba brought them by in no time! The level of service was amazing.

Because the property is located on a semi-private dock, it is not completely secluded. The occasional neighbor, worker, or curious boater would pop up in the backyard, which was at first shocking. But the island is so safe, this small inconvenience doesn’t ruin what the home offers in peace and tranquillity. I would absolutely return to the White House in the future. It is perfect for a family getaway, a girls trip, or in our case, a quiet couples retreat.

Fabulous house in terrific location

4 of us stayed at the White House for a week of bone fishing. House was beautiful, staff was helpful and attentive. Utilized the dock out front for our boat which was very convenient. Excellent house would definitely rent again!

A slice of heaven!

This was a fabulous place to relax and vacation! Anita made the reservation easy and sent plenty of information to prepare our family of 5 to enjoy this perfect Island home. The water taxi dropped us off at the dock,just steps from this beautiful ,spacious and spotless home. The grounds,pool and patios are just awesome. The house decor is lovely, Pottery Barn with Island touches that make it very comfortable after a day at the beach, snorkeling and dining at terrific restaurants. There was a go to guy, Shabba, who helped with seeking Island advice. He even arranged for the water taxi to pick us up at the dock for our departure.

The only advice I would give is ,the season ends July 31st, which we weren't aware of. Some things closed that we would have liked the choice to visit, but that wouldn't stop me from coming again.

Our family included 3 adult children. All have said if lucky, they'll surely return!

Relaxation Station

This was our second visit to Harbour Island which is a close flight from Florida and a short ferry ride but otherwise feels worlds away and portends instant relaxation. This time we were a group of 3 couples and the White House was perfect- clean, nice size rooms and bathrooms for each couple. Although the beach is amazing, it was nice to have a pool for quick dips before and after. We basically stayed in our bathing suits the whole time. The back yard has great views of the bay at sunset and stargazing at night. There is a nice kitchen that has all the amenities you need except for ice which you can easily get at the gas station or grocery store. There is a large water cooler for drinking. The showers had great water pressure and heat. Any issues with the house were quickly fixed by Shabba the property manager who was readily available. The house feels private but because of the shared dock we got to know our neighbors. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and giving on the island, just one of the reasons we love it! As other reviews have mentioned, eating at Sip Sip is a must; usually stays open until the end of July. Aquapazza is also a nice place to eat; go at sunset for beautiful views. We had Anna, the yoga instructor mentioned in the welcome package, come to the house for yoga- I highly recommend her. Having a golf cart on the Island is a must. We used and recommend No Limit Rentals (they even came to fix a flat for us) although there are closer rental places to the house. Overall, we had a great stay and would choose this rental property again (I'd go back tomorrow if I could!)

White House on Harbour Island

My family and I spend 2 weeks in the Bahamas every year. We always rent a house. We know what to expect and what not to expect. This was, by a good measure, our favorite. We brought our boat over and were able to dock 100 feet behind the house with power and water on the dock. The location, if you know Harbour Island, could not be better. We need a 4th bedroom as we travel with a Captain and this home had a separate quarters for our Captain and his wife. What puts this house over the top is the accommodating staff maintained for the benefit of this and several other homes in this little HOA. It didn't hurt either that cart rentals is a 3 minute stroll down the block.

From the business end in booking the rental to the beautiful sunsets and fabulous location there is nothing but 5 stars for this one. We will not hesitate to return.

Perfect vacation, perfect house

We visited Harbour Island for a friend's wedding in May 2017. Given the expense and distance, we decided to bring our two young children (ages 2 and 4), as well as my brother-in-law to help with child care. We have rented many vacation homes at beaches all over, and this is by far the most incredible vacation home we have ever rented. It was perfect. From the moment we arrived, Shaba was warm, available, and helpful, and met us at the dock when we arrived. The house is gorgeous, clean, in good repair, air-conditioned, and the pool was fabulous. Many houses are often lacking amenities (i.e. towels, kitchen supplies) but this house truly had it all. Adequate beach and bath towels, laundry facilities, and Shalese, our house keeper was a total luxury (as well as lovely person). We cooked many of our meals at home, and the kitchen was well-stocked and in good condition. The bedrooms were spacious and gorgeous. A "kids" bedroom even had several books and a potty seat in the bathroom.

On the front end of our trip, Anita was an absolute pleasure to work with and helped us with planning -- everything from day trips and golf cart rentals to ordering a crib for our baby. She was organized, responsive, and lovely to work with. The guest book in the house served as our encyclopedia, and was full of helpful suggestions, tips, and information. We loved every moment of our time on Harbour Island, and would certainly visit again!
