About Rick Singbusch

We live in and work in Rochester and bought the property back in 1995 and finally built the cabin in 2005. Have really enjoyed the fishing and the quiet there.

Rick Singbusch purchased this cabin in 1995

Why Rick Singbusch chose Longville

We bought this property because of its quiet location, the size of the lot, and the proximity to town. It's only a mile and a half to the restaurant and gas station in town but you feel like you are a long way from civilization when you are sitting on the deck or out fishing. The lake is a good fishing lake for panfish, largemouth, and northern pike. The lake is about ¼ mile wide by ½ mile long, about 60 acres, it’s not unusual to be the only one fishing on it.

What makes this cabin unique

We have really enjoyed quiet and privacy of this property and the excellent fishing. There aren't many trophies in this lake but if you enjoy catching 2 to 5 lb northerns along with largmouth bass, crappies, and panfish you will love this lake. You can see from the pictures that the lot itself has a large open area with a couple of wildflower gardens. There is also a couple of acres of woods with mowed trails in them.

Relaxing Weekend Away

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice time at this property. The cabin was well-appointed and we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location is really neat- tucked away in the woods. We are hoping to come back in the summertime to enjoy the lake and tourist attractions the area has to offer. Thank you very much!

Relaxing property

  • 5 of 5

The property is exactly as described and the pictures are very accurate. The cabin is located a quick drive from Longville, while still feeling secluded. We loved walking down to the dock each day and we really enjoyed the space the yard has! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Very peaceful, Favorite place to be!!

  • 5 of 5

Very private , but still close to town, only a 1/2 mile from C trail for wheeling. Fishing on semi- private small lake, big yard for moving around. Cabin has everything you need, just bring food and drinks! Many things to do in the area if you want to go out.

Very Impressed!

  • 5 of 5

We were so impressed with the property. Everything from the cabin to the fishing pier was perfect. The location was private and the fall colors were beautiful. We spent most of our time fishing and caught many fish during our stay. The people that we met, both on the lake while fishing and in town, were very friendly and the whole stay was incredible. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a perfect fall northern getaway!
