About this property

Walk To St. John's Beautiful North Shore Beaches!

Odin, Norse god of wind, surveyed everything in his realm from his throne - Lidskjalf. At Lidskjalf at Annaberg, you will survey the untouched beauty of St. John's north shore as it was hundreds of years ago when the first seafaring gods came upon it.

Walk to three National Park beaches from this wonderful island home. Francis Bay beach is five minutes away on foot, Little Maho beach a more invigorating fifteen minute hike, and Leinster Bay beach an easy ten minute stroll along the water. Some of the best snorkeling can be found off Leinster point and Waterlemon Cay, so bring your mask and fins!

Three queen bedrooms and four bathrooms with two outdoor showers complement the huge great room/kitchen, which boasts a wall of picture perfect views. The bedrooms are all very private, with each having its own flat panel tv, A/C, sea view, and sitting area just outside a sliding glass door.

Pretend you are Christopher Columbus looking at the untouched National Park bays and hillsides or watch your favorite channel on satellite TV and check email and Facebook with WiFi.

Either way, be prepared to experience the true St. John--its stunning beauty and incomparable beaches!

VRBO be aware
We were double booked because the property manager said their booking software didn’t talk to the VBRO software. The manager did find us other accommodations, but we didn’t find out until 1day before vacation. Caused a lot of last minute stress. Accommodations were no where close to original location.

Lidskjalf at Annaberg
We have been to St. Johns many times. This property was very secluded and quiet with a nice view. The property was clean and consist of 3 bungalows. The problem was on the first night we lost power on the lower level. The a/c worked and that was it. We called and they were very nice and prompt to investigate the issue but it was not fixed during our stay. The lower level has outdoor showers and was very difficult to do anything down there without electric. When the staff was investigating the power problem they knocked out the a/c in another upper level bungalow. That was unresolved for the rest of our trip. The TV's worked, but none of the remotes worked. Stations had to be changed by hand. The power outage downstairs also eliminated the patio lighting and the lights to see as you were going down the stairs. Other than that the bugs were very bad. St John has really changed since our last visit, Coral Bay is wiped out with few places to eat. Getting food was difficult, they have built more homes and no parking in Cruz Bay. Most places to eat required at least 2 day notice for a reservation.

Quiet Escape with Gorgeous Views
This home worked great for our family of five (three teenagers) on our first visit to St. John. The location, view, and outdoor space were stellar. Easy walk to Francis Bay and amazing stargazing from the deck at night. A few thoughts: --The primary bedroom/bathroom is in a separate little cottage, which is nice and private, but be aware that there are NO window coverings at all, so if you aim to sleep in, you may want to bring some sleep masks. The other bedrooms have blinds. The (major) upside is that you wake up to gorgeous sunrises and a view of the BVIs! --Drinking water: Water is from a cistern and they recommend not drinking it (but fine for cooking and showering). By the end of the week we had accumulated a RIDICULOUS amount of plastic water bottles and discovered there is nowhere to recycle them. It would be good to know if is a better way to get drinking water (in larger/reusable jugs?) --There were lots of little biting gnats/mosquitos that made sitting outside less appealing than we would have thought (we ended up eating inside vs at the gorgeous outdoor table a few times). Definitely bring some bug spray (we also found some left behind by previous guests). --There are two outdoor showers but no shower in the lower level bedroom (which is separate from the main house). The outdoor showers were a bit dirty with bugs, etc. so our teen daughters shared a bathroom with us. No big deal but might be helpful to know. --Management was friendly and responsive.

Quiet, Cozy, Scenic
Our stay was simply amazing. The home was perfect for our family. Three private bedrooms with comfy beds. All the amenities and services needed. The setting and scenery was breathtaking looking out and the British Virgin Islands over emerald waters. Sunrises and sunsets exactly as you would dream in your best dreams. Great location close to the best beaches in the world. World class beaching and snorkeling and hiking? Just wonderful!
