Romantic Eastside Suite, Great View, Private Balcony

Bedrooms Studio
Space 37 m²
Property type studio
Minimum Stay 3 - 5 nights

About the property

Beautifully decorated, Spacious studio, Gorgeous views off private Balcony

Newly renovated, quiet, bright, spacious suite ideally located in Santa Fe’s lovely Eastside Historical District. Surrounded by beautiful Santa Fe hills, it is tranquil and green, yet just an eight-minute drive to the Plaza.

The studio suite: The suite is private, safe, and serene, perfect for solo travelers and couples. It is a large open-concept suite with new hardwood oak floors, a comfortable new queen bed, futon couch and dining area. The suite also has a private balcony and a beautiful bathroom with a skylight, deep Jacuzzi-jetted tub, and a walk-in shower.

From the main room, sliding glass doors open to the balcony, with a stunning mountain view to the north and west.  From the balcony you can see the light change across the dramatic sky, drink in Santa Fe’s impressive sunsets, and view the starry nights. The bistro table and chairs on the balcony provide a perfect setting for enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning, while watching the dance of enchanting hummingbirds. We have made every effort to create a comfortable space for you. Thoughtfully furnished and air conditioned in the warmer months, the suite is adorned with original artwork of local artists.

A wealth of information on the area will await you, which includes a description of the local area, favorite day trips, restaurant suggestions, as well as a few delicious recipes from local restaurants.

Kitchenette amenities include a small refrigerator with separate freezer, microwave, coffee maker & coffee grinder. Plates, glasses, and flatware include Mexican wine glasses, blue-rimmed margarita and martini glasses, and pilsner pints.

While we love small children, the studio suite is not suited for them.

In order to offer a pristine, low-allergen environment for all of our guests, we have a strict no smoking and no pet policy.

Perfectly located. The suite is ten minutes from Canyon Road’s world famous galleries and restaurants, and five minutes from the idyllic Audubon Society. Right outside your door are the popular Dale Ball Hiking Trails, on which you can hike, mountain bike, or jog. Quaint and historic Upper Canyon Road is a 10-minute walk and is popular with both walkers and cyclists. Museum Hill, seven minutes away by car, is home to the treasured Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art.

There are over 250 restaurants in Santa Fe. Three of the finest are located at the top of Canyon Road, just a five minute drive: The Compound, Geronimo’s and El Farol. If a full meal is not what you’re looking for, enjoy Spanish tapas under El Farol’s portal, as the perfect finish to the Friday Evening Gallery Walk. In the same area is The Teahouse, which is a favorite of locals and visitors. This gathering place serves a wide selection of unique teas along with coffee, wine, beer, and light fare. Downtown Subscription, another neighborhood cafe, has an outdoor patio along with an eclectic collection of magazines and newspapers for sale.

Day trips: After you explore our unique downtown Plaza area, you shouldn't miss seeing the area’s rich historic sites and breathtaking landscapes: The Taos Pueblo and Rio Grande Gorge, the Taos Ski Valley, Bandelier National Monument, Georgia O’Keefe’s Abiquiu, Ojo Caliente Hot Springs and Spa, and the Santuario de Chimayo. Upon arrival we provide more detailed written information on these sites and others.

There is something for everyone in the Santa Fe area: Tour the area wineries or the casinos, go fishing, or horseback riding. At a local ranches, riders of all skill levels can enjoy year-round riding through scenic hills and high desert. On some rides you will see spectacular 360 views of area mountain ranges, and stunning sunsets.

Markets and festivals: Our outstanding seasonal markets are one-of-a-kind and attract visitors from around the world. The major markets are Indian Market, Spanish Market, and our personal favorite, the Santa Fe International Folk Art Festival (only 10 minutes away). This market lasts three days. Over 150 craftspeople from every corner of the globe are sponsored by the International Folk Art Museum to display and sell their beadwork, jewelry, pottery, painting, and textiles. Delicious international food, music, and dance are part of this festival. Other popular festivals and events include Wine and Chili Festival, Santa Fe’s Fiestas and the Albuquerque Balloon festival.

Music: During the summer, music and opera aficionados come for the Chamber Music Festival in July and August, and the Santa Fe Opera, which is recognized as one of the world’s leading cultural festivals. Tailgate picnics before the Operas have become a colorful and beloved Santa Fe tradition.

Retreat: The renowned Upaya Zen Center is a mere five-minute walk. Guests are welcome to take part in their twice–daily meditations, or guests may want to register for one of their many programs. Also, although Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa is nearby for massages, facials, and private hot tubs, at the end of the night you may choose to soak in your own deep Jacuzzi-jetted bathtub (large enough for two!). We can also suggest local body-workers who provide an at-home massage.

Fitness and self-care: We can also suggest our favorite exercise studios, classes, and teachers for yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and Nia. We'd be happy to direct you to spas, salons, beauty services, swimming, martial arts, and weight training.

Additional rental space:

The suite is self-contained, private and attached to a larger home. We also have a detached unit, a casita (small house), that is available for rent. It is a lovely furnished one- bedroom unit, clean and bright with skylights, hardwood floors, a balcony with the same great views, fully-equipped kitchen, W/D, garage. The suite and casita combine to create the perfect lodging for those who want to travel with a friend, family, or another couple, but would like their own space.
