Game Room is a life saver
I’d like to start by saying the game room was a game changer,( after we found the only HDMI cord from upstairs that is). The check in list provided was very lengthy and when I contacted owner 3x about all the existing damage and uncleanliness he never responded. The bottles under the bed listed in a review from months ago are still there. Most the bulbs were blown and we had to buy them. We only tried the game room TV so can’t speak on the others, except that the queen room had no TV that is listed. There were 4 broken chairs that someone wrote notes and draped over them to warn us, so eating together was not possible. The cleaning company used leaves a lot to be desired, linens were left from previous renters, counter tops were dirty. Altho owner can’t be blamed for the cleaners job, this is reflective in the fact that he has prior reviews that they are slacking and still uses them. There is not a broom to be found and the vacuum barely picks up. Again tho, the game room was great. (Well barring the missing pieces for the foosball and air hockey). The community was somewhat of a disappointment considering all but one pool were closed for the season and the guards are whistle happy and closed unannounced a few times for reason unknown (in addition to their 1.75hr lunches) and then Storm Henri contaminated the lakes and they were closed for the week too. So we paid $40 each to drive around. This is not the home owners fault of course but be sure to check out the community web site before you commit. Driving your trash all the way around to the other side is also no fun. The house seems to be designed for families with younger kids as there are games galore and the back yard has a great play area. Three of the rooms offer sleeping for parents as well as a child but the mattresses are standard rental fare so keep that in mind also. We had a good time in the surrounding towns exploring since there was nothing to do really within the community. I was disappointed to not have communication from the owner while being worried for all the things I had to check when arriving and departing. Prior to arriving he was very prompt on replies and information. I imagine this house is great for a winter vacation with the fireplace and wooded lot.

Wonderful Area
The area was beautiful and house as well. It was quiet but close amenities. We did have issues with cleanliness, baby bottles, soda cans, beer caps and food wrappers under couches and beds. Pots and pans were dirty old food and crumbs all-over kitchen floor. I also didn't see anything until the email recieved the day before that we had to register with community at least 72 hours ahead of. The owner did refund the 20 late fee but until that point I also didn't know we had to pay an additional amount (which I understand is not his fault) We had to bring our own linens including bathroom rugs that I didn't know about again until the day before . Only 3 TVs worked and theWii also was not usable.. I tried to communicate with owner but he just said kind of put me off and me feel like I was being picky but I really was let down with all the COVID protocols and the walk thru that he wanted to head of time that made us worry we would be in trouble.

Big house
This is our second time we rented from here and we had a really nice time. The owner was expedient with responding back to me when I communicated some minor problems to him and has a solution in the works. We would go back again! Big house, lots to do inside, plenty of space.

The house was clean and was very comfortable. It had all that we wanted. We had a great stay.
The process of us renting this house was very smooth. The owner was easy to reach if we had questions. Check in and out was no problem.

A nice getaway in the Poconos
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Maple Moose Lodge. Booking was quick and efficient and all of the check in instructions were laid out clearly and accurately. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor playset the most and we spent parts of each day outside running and playing around the property. When we checked in, everything seemed pretty clean. The only issue we saw in terms of cleanliness was when we tried to find a remote that had fallen under a bed and found under the beds and in the hard to clean areas to be pretty gross (food wrappers, baby bottles). I think that's more a comment for whoever cleans the property in between stays. In terms of the rest of the property, it was as described - and probably even a little bigger than the pictures made it look. We enjoyed the bottom floor game room and TV room. My kids were a little small for the games so didn't play them as much but we still loved the comfort of that bottom level. It was clean, not buggy and overall was a great play to hang out day and night. We also liked the dining area and the raised table and chairs and spent a lot of time hanging out. Wifi was good and the area was nice enough to take bike rides. It was cold when we were there so we didn't hang out at the lake too much, but that area seemed really nice. The only thing I didn't like about Arrowhead Lake was that it was extra remote (ie an extra 10 to 12 min off the main road) and there are so many lakefront properties that I couldn't figure out where we were allowed to fish without trespassing. But I'm sure that can be figured out. Overall a really nice escape at a quiet and well maintained property.
