This is our 5th or 6th trip to Triple S

Sterlins place is a perfect get a way. Fishing is easy and usually good. A home away from home. All the details. We will be back this spring or early summer...

My family and I had a very peaceful time of bonding and fun in this well accommodated cabin!

Everything you need is in this cabin. From the beautiful boat dock and relaxing screened in porch to the grills and fire pit patio to the S’mores rods, everything we could have needed for a great time on the river was provided. We found the cabin spotless and beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We will be back :)

Extraordinary Place

  • 5 of 5

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend at this wonderful cabin. I can't say enough about it. My grandkids had a great time. We fished, we sat on the porch, I didn't want to leave. It is an exceptional get away . I cook and there was more than anything I needed, all I needed was the stuff to cook which I took plenty of food. Can't wait to go back. Very relaxing, a great big thank you to the owners for sharing..

It was absolutely beautiful inside and out! Wish I could get my house as clean as this place was. :) So peaceful, and we got to see lots of cute critters. This place had ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING you could need and some. Just bring yourself and some good food and drink and your good to go. Will definitely be coming back.....hopefully sooner than later.

Greater than superior! Nothing needed but what you bring in a suitcase.

It was perfect for my 97-year-old, blind and

deaf, wheelchair bound mother who grew up in Cleburne County. It was perfect for my husband who was exhausted from his ministry with troubled families. It was perfect for our son who needed to escape life in the fast lane for a few days. It was perfect for me to bless and care for the 3 people I love with all my heart. This lovely, rustic log house is cloistered in towering oak and gum trees on the south bank overlooking the Little Red River. The kitchen is any cook’s dream— absolutely nothing lacking! The kitchen, dining and living areas were all one big open room with windows all along the side overlooking the river. The three bedrooms had huge walk-in closets with built-in shelves and lots of space for hanging clothes, dressers or chests of drawers for storing personal items, bedside tables and lamps, and at least one comfortable chair. One bathroom had a tub and shower and the larger bathroom had a huge walk-in shower— perfect for Mom’s shower stool. The decorations in this house were very creative and absolutely appropriate for the foothills of the Ozarks. The large wall in the living area was adorned with various items that a trout fisherman would use: rod and reels, straw basket, net, various lures, the prow section of a small boat, etc. Each bedroom was decorated in different themes— hunting, baseball, sewing quilts. So creative!! Even the tops of the kitchen cabinets were decorated with items that were used in the ‘40s and ‘50s. Folks who love TV could watch their favorite programs via dish in every room except the bathrooms. In summary, this log house is more than a house. It is truly “home”! But that is not all of the amenities. Outside just past the wheelchair ramp there is a lovely stone patio built around a fire pit. We would have loved using it but there was a burn ban in Cleburne County. There were two gas grills— one very large and one average size. Just off the patio facing the river there was a porch swing hanging from an A-frame. We would have loved to sit there for hours, but we didn’t bring enough warm clothing for the cold weather. In front of the swing were brand new wooden stairs leading down to the brand new boat dock. My husband and son braved the cold for about an hour to try to lure a trout onto their hooks but they had no luck. So they rushed back into the kitchen for hot chocolate. Kudos and gratitude to Mr. Wallace, the owner. Perfect place in every way!
