The property was great!

I would have loved it if the cabin were a bit farther off the road but it was very clean and cozy! The fishing was great! We caught so many bass we lost count. I will definately book it again in the future!

Beautiful log cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved it. The cabin was beautiful and we could not ask for a better location. It was close to the places we wanted to visit as well as stores. Thank you for a wonderful experience. My son keeps on asking me when we can return to the wood house.

We were looking forward to petting all the animals...only saw them from a distance. Didn't catch any fish in the pond that looks so nice (very mossy). The cabin was nice, decent beds, tiny little bathroom. But, everything worked and we enjoyed our stay. Seems a little over priced.

Owner's Response: It is our goal for all of our guest to have a truly enjoyable stay at our ranch. We provide all our contact information when you book your stay and also have them available on the bar when you enter the cabin. We love to interact with our guests and would have enjoyed helping you call all the animals to you so that you could feed and pet them. The ranch is sectioned off for rotating the animals feeding on the pastures. And with all this rain we have had the animals seek the dry in our barns. Our cabin was built new in 2013 and has new furniture and top of the line appliances. Our bathroom has a full tub/shower with a single sink granite vanity with towels and toiletries provided for your convenience. We provide the opportunity to fish in our private lake with no extra costs or license fees. Local hotels in the area rent a single queen bed room for 2 people for approximately $120 a night and most cabins in the area rent for over $300 a night and charge a cleaning fee as well. Our cabin ranges from $159-$189 a night with no other fees involved. My family is a VRBO owner but also use VRBO as travelers and travel extensively with our storm chasing business. I am always watchful when I visit other homes to look for what I can do to make staying in our cabin even better. I appreciate your feedback and will do my best to continuously seek ways to make staying in our cabin enjoyable and economical.

It was just ok.

The cabin is in great condition, but only has 2 beds. No sleeper sofa anymore instead is a pretty new sectional. The property is in a rather run down area too so we weren’t comfortable outside. The lake view is lovely like in the photos, but when we walked over to go fishing there was animal dung everywhere. Kitchen drawers need a good cleaning, and the fridge is rather noisy. Not bad, but we won’t be back.

Owner's Response: We are truly sorry you were not 100% satisfied with your stay at our Firefly Ranch cabin. We try our best to provide the best furniture and appliances we can and replaced the sleeper sofa in the family room with a brand new one last month. As stated and pictured in the ad and photos it is only a 2 bedroom cabin recommended for a 4 person occupancy. We want you to be comfortable and not crowded. The location of our ranch is rural and I can assure you it is not a less than fortunate is mostly wooded but considered very upscale for this area in today's market. Our cabinets are whitewashed pine and we take pride in maintaining one of the cleanest regiments. Also, we have just had the refrigerator serviced and appreciate you for letting us know that it was noisy. As advertised and also shown in the photos our property is a working ranch with cattle, llamas, and alpacas. Animal dung is to be expected. Llamas and alpacas pick one spot on the property and usually always return to the same spot to relieve themselves. Therefor leaving all their dung in a pile in which we use to fertilize our gardens and property to ensure that the pastures grow beautiful and green so that they produce enough food for our goal of raising chemical free beef. Our home is located on the other side of the private lake and our phone numbers are on the bar as you enter the cabin. We are always willing and available to help with your concerns durning your stay at our ranch and are regretful you did not reach out to us so that we could try our best to make sure you enjoyed your stay with us.
