My husband and I married on Seven Mile Beach in 1999. We love the island and its beauty and have always loved the North Shore with its waves and serenity. As George Town and seven mile continued to grow we were drawn to this quiet side of the island. We stayed in this unit and bought it the same season.
Our family and friends have spent many days here and it is our hope that you will 'fall in love' with this private 'oasis'.
Melissa A Stockstill purchased this condo in 2003
On The Bay offers you a place to escape from the crowds, but still have the beautiful ocean at you toes.
The pool and the sea are steps apart.
There is also a gazebo, poolside. for reading in the shade or having lunch.
This shore, known for it's 'turtle hatchings', may provide you the opportunity for a 'green sea turtle' sighting!
Our unit has cable TV, internet service, and 'free' long-distant calls to the US and Canada.
This is a wonderful property with a lovely view. It's spacious with lots of amenities such as washer/dryer, jetted tub in the huge master bath, nicely outfitted kitchen, beach towels, just about everything you need. We love it on the less populated North Side, but be advised that it's a drive to town and the West Bay.
This Condo was quite lovely and furnished with everything we needed to have a great time . I found the kitchen to be supplied with every needed utensil. I was impressed with the size of the Condo and the patio was the best to sit out and enjoy the surf. Everything was very clean and neat. Only minor glitch was the ice machine int he frig. did not work.
We had a delightful week at Old Man Bay.
Truly enjoyed the condo. Everything was clean and well kept up. Loved the location on the north side of the island. Melissa kept us informed of stay and offered up help with directions and suggestions for dining and activities. Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience.
We had a great time staying in Old Man Bay at the "On the Bay" condominiums. The unit was much nicer than the pictures could depict. We felt as though we were in luxury and enjoyed the quite atmosphere. We spent everyday packing in activities. Our favorites were a horseback swimming ride with Coral Stone Stables & the Stingray City/snorkeling adventure with White Sands Water sports. We also did another day snorkeling with White sands on the east end of the island and thoroughly enjoyed their double decker pontoon boat with dual slides. The Crystal Caves tour was really neat and close to the condo. Rum Point & Kaibo Yacht Club were nearby and offered a relaxing spot to chill out. Starfish beach was really nice too and very close too. We visited the Turtle Farm on our last day and our kids really liked seeing all of the turtles and being able to feed and touch them. The "On the Edge" restaurant was very close and had great food and service!!
Condo was great! Spacious, very clean and in tip top shape. A couple of loose cabinet handles is the only complaint. That's how hard I have to look to find a flaw. The views are awesome! The terrace is perfect as the winds coming on shore are blocked by the buildings configuration. It was pretty windy our whole stay, but on that balcony, it was a slight breeze. We ate breakfast out there every morning, a few dinners and had a few drinks in the eve every night, and it was perfect. The grounds are well maintained. The people couldn't have been nicer. If you stay here, you will need to rent a car. It's actually in a great location I think. If you're like us and you like exploring, this is ideal! It's only 15 minutes to Rum Point, Kaibo, Starfish point, and about 25 or 30 minutes from the port. We traveled the entire island several times. Definitely busy on the Georgetown side, but it was a dream escape back at the condo. So clean, quiet and private. I can't say enough of my communications with the owner either. Ever since booking in December, she made the process so easy and hassle free. Melissa sent me many suggestions on things to do, places to see and eat. And we took her advice and were not disappointed. Any questions or concerns I had, she responded to in a timely, professional and friendly manner. Check In procedures were a snap, and check out procedures were the easiest of any rental we've done to date. My wife and I are already discussing a return to Grand Cayman next year. The experience we had with Melissa and this rental, makes us absolutely want to come back here. They know how to treat their tenants! First class professionalism to go along with a first class property!
Stayed in this third-floor unit with great views of the water from the balcony. 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a fully stocked kitchen and in unit laundry. Pleasantly decorated and plenty of room to spread out. Northside condo association is quiet and away from the business of downtown Georgetown. A rental car is a must to get to this area and to get around but there are great restaurant options nearby and driving to the grocery store isn't too far either. Only things I would change is a few more beach towels (3 there) and having a hair dryer available (they don't have one there). This was our third trip to this destination, and as always, we had a great time. Will be sure to return.
This condominium is situated in the middle of the North Shore with easy access to both Rum Point and East End. Both locations will be a must for any trip to the island.
Land lovers may want to explore the beautiful Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, with its amazing flora, just 5 min away or for the real hiker, the Mastic Trail might be of interest.
East End has world class diving companies and other water sports available. It is known for its breath taking seascapes and views of the reef.
Rum Point offers a relaxing pristine beach front with crystal blue water, where you can order a 'mudslide' from the bar or try the great 'Fish and Chips'. There are several water sports (jet skis, paddle boats,) available for rent there. There is also StingRay City and Snorkle Trips are available.
If you bring your snorkel and prefer to walk in, Rum Point is a fun place to play in the limitless shallow waters. They also offer full dining at night in their restaurant.
Kaibo Yacth Club, adjacent to Rum Point, offers casual and fine dining and is a serene place to have drinks and watch the boats come in.
Over the Edge, less than a mile from the condo, offers local dishes and you may need a reservation at night to try their fresh 'catch of the day', I recommend the 'Wahoo'.
Tukkas is a short drive and a North side favorite for dining and there is the Lighthouse Restaurant, known for its Italian and Seafood dishes.
You will fall in love with the local flare and serenity of this side of the island. It will be like having your own private oasis.
