You will find 'Serenity on the South River' as you enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views from essentially every room in this 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath private waterfront estate. The home is situated at the widest point of the South River on 5 magnificent acres. This exclusive setting is ideal for your Family Vacation, Anniversary or Birthday Party. The home sleeps 8 people comfortably and offers a spacious floor plan with ample parking. You will find the architectural design of this home very captivating. Enter the home where you will soon discover each room with unique hexagonal structure as well as vaulted ceilings on the upper level. No matter what occasion brings you here, you will appreciate the most striking scenery and wildlife. The kitchen has a large granite island with a 4 burner electric stove top and is also used for additional counter seating. The counter tops are a beautiful granite and the flooring and cabinetry a rich cherry wood. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare your meals or a list of local restaurants that deliver. Enjoy your breakfast on the expansive upper deck which you may enter from either the kitchen, den, or the 'extra' dining area. The kitchen opens up to the den which has 2 large leather sofas, a recliner, gas fireplace, stereo system, DVD player and HD TV ...and again ...there's that incredible view.
The formal Dining Room seats 8 and is furnished with china and serving pieces for your dining pleasure. There is a Butler's Pantry across from the Dining Room which is used for extra space if needed for large gatherings. There you will find a mini fridge and sink.
Gather in the formal Living Room with a glass of wine while being entertained by the 'Player' Baby Grand Piano.
The Master Suite has a King sized bed, cherry hardwood flooring, a private screened in porch and a large marbled floor bath with a whirlpool tub, double sinks, bidet, and shower ...all with a view of the water.
On the lower level you will find another Master bedroom with a king bed and private bath. The 2 remaining bedrooms each have a comfortable queen bed. All bedrooms have TV, cable, and DVD players. There are 2 additional full sized baths as well as a changing room on the lower level.
Watch cable TV, your favorite movie or sporting event in the Theater Room on the projection screen HDTV. Here you will find a cherry wood bar, 2 Pub Tables, stools, a plethora of wine glasses and another mini fridge. You may exit here to the pool area. (You can also get there from one of three staircases from the upper deck, the Hot Tub room or the Fitness room) .
BBQ burgers on the gas grill and enjoy lunch from the spacious pool and patio area while you are entertained by watching the many activities on the river from boating, sailing, jet skiing, fishing, canoeing and kayaking ....or just take pleasure reclining and soaking up the sunshine with a good book from the library. The pool area is equipped with many lounge chairs, adirondack chairs, tables with umbrellas, floats, and beach towels.
Keep up with your activity regimen in the Fitness Room in which you will find Bowflex Extreme, free weights and a Treadmill...then, you may want to ease your body and mind while relishing in the benefits of the Hot Rock Sauna.
Roast kabobs and/or marshmallows over the Outdoor Fire Pit.... or you may just like to gather around it for stargazing or for the mere ambiance.
You will not want to miss the stunning sunsets each evening which may be seen from the home, the pool area or you may want to bring a fishing pole along and watch from the 100 yard private Pier.
End your day with a sojourn to the state of the art Thermospa Hot Tub where you can relax with your choice of pulsating jets, laser jets, swirl jets, whirlpool jets or therapy jets....
This private South River Estate is available for The Naval Academy Commissioning week, Boat Shows, Sailboat Races, your Special Event or just taking advantage of YOUR HOME away from HOME as well as long term annual lease. At this time we are not doing weddings or large events.
The United States Naval Academy is located here and tours are available.

Hammond-Harwood House is one of a series of historical homes open for tours. This treasure of a colonial mansion was designed by architect William Buckland and built in 1774. See colonial-era architecture and 18th century period furnishings including furniture produced by cabinet maker John Shaw, and paintings by portrait painter, Charles Willson Peale.
William Paca House is one of the most interesting historical home tours due to its fabulously restored gardens.
