Triple H Homestead is a working farm located just outside Monument in Northern Grant County, 60 miles from John Day and 150 miles northeast of Bend. Our farm makes a great place to stay while you visit the surrounding John Day area.
Cozy Bunkhouse accommodation features three bedrooms to comfortably sleep six people with all linens, pillows and quilts provided as well as fluffy towels and our own hand crafted guest soaps. The main Bunkhouse has a comfortable settee and recliner easy chair where you can watch one of our films on the VCR/DVD player or bring your own movies if you wish. The kitchen features an antique wood/electric combination stove as well as all the modern conveniences. A microwave, fridge, coffee maker, espresso maker, blender, all crockery, cutlery and pots and pans are provided as well as a propane BBQ for your grilling needs. Enjoy your meals inside at the dining room table or sit on the back deck watching an early morning sunrise or relax in the evening to the sounds of dove, pheasant and the occasional wild turkey. Please note we are a non-smoking establishment.
For your breakfast enjoyment our fresh full cream organic milk, butter, home raised and cured bacon, sausage and fresh laid eggs are available for a modest fee. When in season, stroll down to the garden to pick ripe raspberries, corn, potatoes or other fresh veggies to add to your meals.
We have stable accommodation for your horse complete with pine shaving bedding and water tubs, just bring your own hay and grain. For those bringing their own equine companion, Rose is a well known riding instructor and may be booked for private lessons, English or Western, or feel free to head 'out back' and explore the numerous trails on our land. A few miles up the road there is easy access to the National Forrest for your equitreking adventures! Please inquire as to horse accommodation pricing.

Just down the road you will find Thomas Orchards at Kimberly with seasonal fruit such as cherries, apricots, peaches, apples and pears at the fruit stand or 'U-pick' from late June through October. The noted John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and Thomas Condon visitor’s center with the fascinating Painted Hills Unit is just a comfortable drive away. Visit the famous Kam Wah Chung museum in John Day or just spend some time on the banks of the John Day River catching an evening meal of small mouth bass.
Located in the Heppner wildlife unit, our farm makes a cozy base camp for your deer or elk hunting excursions.
Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, touring by car or just seeking a place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, our farm can be your home away from home. Just down the road alongside the John Day River you will find the family owned Thomas Orchards at Kimberly with seasonal fruit such as cherries, apricots, peaches, apples and pears from late June through October, both 'U-Pick' and ready picked.
The noted John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and Thomas Condon visitor’s center are a must see and the Painted Hills Unit is a comfortable drive away. Hike the trails of Blue Basin or head into the National Forrest for a day of exploration!
Visit the famous Kam Wah Chung museum in John Day, head to historic Prairie City or just spend some time on the banks of the John Day River catching an evening meal of small mouth bass or catfish.
July 4th activities in Monument include a great Farmer's Market, parade, fireworks display and other events. Local Farmer's Markets can be found in John Day each Saturday plus Thomas Orchards host a craft market the second Sunday of each month July through October. For the Classic Car enthusiast there are car shows in Spray, Fossil, and John Day during the summer!

Guests are welcome to arrive at the farm any time after 1pm. If you plan to arrive after 5pm, we would appreciate a call so we can make sure there are lights on for you. Check-out time is 11am on your departure day unless prior arrangements have been made.
We are in a somewhat remote location so cell phone service is extremely spotty. There are small grocery shops in the villages of Monument and Kimberly, both have gas services for your convenience.
Rates are based on double occupancy with a $25/night charge for each additional guest. Please ask about our SPECIAL RATE for families with very young children!

Please notify us in advance if you wish any of our fresh provisions to be awaiting your arrival in the 'fridge.
We do not allow smoking in the guest accommodation or anywhere near the barn area, we appreciate your understanding.
We do not charge a pet deposit but ask that your pet remains under control at all times. Please contact us PRIOR to bringing your well behaved dog!

$100 deposit required. If booking 7 days prior to stay, deposit must be paid via Paypal to hold your reservation.
Refunds: if booking cancelled within 60 days, full refund. Deposit minus $25 fee if cancelled within 30 days. Cancellation within 7 days of your booking will result in no refund.
