Landscaped yard features coconut palms and other tropical plants, outdoor dining room and grill. 80 foot seawall means plenty of room for boats of all sizes. The home is 21 miles to Key West. The home's location provides the best of two worlds: boating, fishing, diving and snorkeling, including close proximity to Looe Key, the premier dive/snorkeling area in the USA, as well as close proximity to Key West with its architecture, history, restaurants, museums and galleries. You can't ask for a better location to take advantage of all the Fabulous Florida Keys has to offer!

great home!
Comfortable home in a quiet but convenient neighborhood. Spacious with nice indoor and outdoor furnishings and owner was very helpful. We'll return here on our next lower keys vacation! We stayed the month of Jan, 2016.

I'm a physician practicing in Savannah, Georgia. I am originally from Connecticut and did my undergraduate work at Mount Holyoke College. I did my medical training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. I love to fish, lobster,swim, snorkel and paddle the beautiful, clear waters of the Florida Keys!

Why they chose this property

I've been going to the Florida Keys for many years, predominantly in the Islamorada area, where a colleague owns a home. I decided to buy a home in the Lower Keys because it's more laid-back and more low-key than the Upper Keys, which is too close to Miami for my taste. I love the natural beauty and access to open ocean and the back country from my home. At the same time, I can be in Key West in 20 minutes. It's the perfect Keys location!

What makes this property unique

The water in my canal is turquoise. It's a clean, flow-through canal, which means it's nice for swimming. My home is literally 4 minutes from open ocean, boats up to 30 feet can get in and out of our neighborhood, there are no bridges to contend with. The home's location makes it great for boating, kayaking and paddle boarding with beautiful areas to explore.
