Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed 6 nights at this beautiful cottage on Swan Lake and it was TERRIFIC!!! First of all, Amy allowed us to rent to cottage a few days earlier than they typically open for the season, and we greatly appreciated that! The location is perfect!! Right on the water, sunrises on the water, sounds of loons and very close to town. Anything you need is there! The beds are very comfortable, the living area very spacious and the loft can fit lots of people! What a great place it would be for a summer vacation with all the water activities available! We travel to Maine yearly, and this will now be our "go to" place!

Property is nice.

  • 4 of 5

The property especially the back yard is better then most on the lake. The cabin is big enough that 4-8 quests wont be bumping into each other during the stay. The inside is showing its wear but still comfortable. Its within a short distance to restaurants and shops and site seeing. The only downside we found was the road was close to the house and traffic is prolific early in the morning and afternoon quitting time. I think a family would have a good time there especially with children since the water is right in the back yard.

Had everything we needed for a lovely vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the front patio and being so close to the water. The 2 bathrooms and laundry were great. Satellite TV and the internet connection were key items for our stay. We are going back next year.

Warm and welcoming

  • 4 of 5

Our stay on Swan Lake was lovely. The house was very nice and the yard/fire pit/dock were amazing. We brought our kayaks and loved the convenience of going paddling whenever. There is also plenty of fire wood available which made for a lovely fire one night.

The location is on a busy road so louder than we expected, but VERY close to the grocery store which was super convenient. All in all a lovely stay!

Cozy and serene

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with our two Boxer dogs in mid September, using it as a home base to explore Acadia and other coastal treats. It was peaceful and cozy, and we enjoyed a wonderful relaxing week. My husband appreciated the flat-screen TV with cable, and I enjoyed sipping wine with a view of the lake. :) I expect the lake would be busier in the summer months with boats and swimming, etc., but in mid September it was nice and quiet. Especially enjoyed seeing the full moon rise over the lake. Spectacular! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Vacation

  • 4 of 5

This cottage is just a short ride to Belfast, but sits in a nice spot on the Lake with wonderful sunrises and a yard that overlooks the water. Although the water was low this year, there is a dock and raft and surprising privacy from neighbors and the road. We enjoyed the fire pit, our lab loved the daily swims, the home was well maintained and Scott was very responsive to our questions. Thanks!
