About this property

Victorian Splendor Amidst the Mountains

Nestled at the base of Bois Mountain in Northern New Hampshire, our shingle style house has a commanding view of a spectacular mountain range. Originally built in the 1800s as part of the mountain resort community as a retreat from formal city living, this grand house is one of the few historic buildings left from that era. With 150 acres, Boismont offers land on which to hike and cross country ski. It is also within 30 minutes of major ski areas (Cannon, Wildcat, Attitash) as well as cross-country areas (Great Glenn Trails in Pinkham Notch, Mt. Washington Hotel). It is an ideal location for weddings, business retreats, and gatherings of family and friends.

The property includes enough bedrooms to fit the extended family or group. It also has a large living room with a fireplace, a screened-in porch, tennis court, swimming hole, barbecue, and laundry facilities. We also have a new electric car charger for those guests with electric cars!

Best Family Reunion Location EVER!
This beautiful property was the center of our family reunion for the past 3 days. With some of us staying down the road at a nearby motel, we totaled 29 people (plus 2 very little ones) enjoying the comfort and spaciousness of this amazing home. The games building saw some friendly pool and ping-pong games and the many seating areas inside and on the wide verandas were perfect for socializing and meals. Apart from the sometimes noisy traffic, it was perfect in every way. Thank you!

A home with a soul
We spent maybe our best experience in the Carter's house. We were 4 families with kids and it was more than enough big to enjoy the quiet, sturdy to not always prevent children from touching things and delightful to give a good spirit to the week end. I highly recommend for family gathering. I was especially surprised to notice how much it was clean for an old house. Landlords are very nice and chilly regarding our stay. The location is also great, with a wonderful view on Mont Washington. Thank you very much!!!

About the host

The Carter family has owned this property for four generations. Since the late 1800's the extended family has been gathering for winter ski vacations and summer hiking trips as well as to just enjoy each other's company.

What makes this property unique

This house is large enough to have an extended group of family or friends without crowding into bunkrooms. The large living room allows everyone to enjoy a winter fire while the screened-in porch provides a place for eating out in the summer air. Beautiful fall foliage on Mount Washington can be viewed from the front lawn.
