Very Comfortable Condo

  • 5 of 5

We arrived very early into the Seattle area and were worried what we might be able to do before we were able to check in to the condo. I contacted Grace and she immediately said no problem your welcome to enter early. Getting into the property is easy and then entering the condo is also an easy task. It looks just like what you see in the pictures. We stayed 5 days and found ourselves right in the middle of everything. We were able to walk to most places or utilize a lift. We were also very close to the entrance to a link station which made it easy to get around. We visited the Pikes Place Market, The Space Needle, The Chihuly Gardens and Museum of Pop Culture. We took two tours one to the Snoqualmie Falls which included a tour of the city and a Haunted Pub Tour. We ate some very good food while we were in Seattle. The Fisherman on Pier 57 and Chavez also down by the water were excellent. I would recommend highly staying at Grace and Rachel's condo for convenience, cleanliness, charm and great customer service

Perfect for Convention

  • 5 of 5

I was in town for a Convention at the Washington State Convention Center and the location was absolutely perfect! Grace, the owner, always replied promptly to any concerns I had, as well as was very helpful with suggestions for tourist activities. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and plenty of clean towels. I would definitely stay here again if am back in Seattle.!

Clean, comfortable, cozy, happy, homey and safe

  • 5 of 5

I spent 6 weeks here and I would love to do it all over again! Here's why:

THE VIEW: The view speaks for itself. This place is a corner condo on the 14th floor. I spent hours on hours just staring out the window at the spectacular view. Or breathing in the fresh air every morning and evening.

CLEAN: the place is clean, and came with extra supplies incase you wanted to be even cleaner, or just to clean up after yourself.

COMFORTABLE: This place felt really homey, it had all the supplies that you could want. From pots, pans, and spices, to packets of oatmeal, to tea bags, cleaning supplies, extra sheets/towels/blankets/pillows. You name it.

Also, the bed was very comfortable which I really appreciated since I do have trouble sleeping often. Furthermore, wifi was strong!

QUIET: My neighbors were quiet, and I didn't hear any cars from the streets because I was so high up. The only sounds I heard were mainly seagulls and birds. It was very relaxing.

LOCATION: I walked everywhere! You're right next to the conference center so that was very interesting to see and I met some pretty cool people from all over the world. You're also so close to all the shopping areas downtown (and I love to shop). Or, you could go up the hill and enjoy all the bars/coffee/good food and cool people in capitol hill. If you're there for work (like me) it took me 7 minutes to get to my clinic! (plenty offices around there as well as other hospitals and medical centers).

COURTEOUS: Grace was so approachable and ALWAYS there when I needed her. I didn't feel alone, because of her. Even though I didn't know any body in Seattle, I felt safe because she would check in and make sure that I was doing okay, and ask if I needed anything. And the lady at the front desk was very kind, always smiled, greeted me by name, and helped ensure that I always got my mail and packages.

Excellent Location!

  • 3 of 5

The Good: The condo was a great place to stay for anyone doing business at the convention center. It took me less than 5 minutes to walk from the door of the condo to the front door of the convention center. The condo was very neat and tidy...with one exception.

The Not-So-Good: The bathroom had not been cleaned. Since the reviews attest to such a clean condo (and the rest of the place really was clean), my guess is that the cleaning person skipped over it or did a quick job.

Also, the wi-fi was not great. If you ABSOLUTELY NEED wi-fi (my husband was working remotely from the room), you will need a plan B.

Finally, the permanent residents of the condominium are not very happy with the short-term renters. Upon our arrival, we were scolded by a resident who told us that us short-term renters should be met by the condo owner at the door. Additionally, the wi-fi accounts of the condo residents are quite amusing... "!The Elektra is not a hotel!" or "!Short-term renters go home!".

Bottom Line: This is a great value for being so close to the convention center.

Owner's Response: Oh, no, Stephanie, I’ve talked to the lead of my cleaners and showed him your review about the uncleaned bathroom. He apologized to me and wanted me to extend his apology to you for the horrible mistake of missing to clean the bathroom. I’m mortified and embarrassed. I wish I could’ve known this earlier and corrected it for you right away. About the speed of WiFi. Hopefully, by replacing a new router will help. I’m so sorry that you and your husband didn’t deserve to be spoken to in that manner. Seattle city counsel voted to keep short term rentals especially in the downtown area. And Elektra’s bylaws explicitly permit short term rentals. Thank you very much for your comments. At lease with your help we can prevent this from happening again. Sincerely, Grace

Excellent Stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in their unit. Very warm cozy, updated and clean. They had more than the usual little things you need when you are staying out of town. Lots of spices and other extras in the kitchen. In fact we made breakfast every day so we were ready to hit the streets and start touring early. We found the laundry very easy to find and use. We also took advantage on some early evenings of the rooftop deck with fantastic views. Location is excellent and highly walkable to downtown, convention center (next door), Capitol Hill and other areas too. Small markets one block towards the water and another one one block towards Capitol Hill up on Pike. Many places to eat close by also. This would be our first choice here on our next visit to Seattle. Thank you!
