Great place to stay
We stayed in early September and had a wonderful time. The cabin was nicer and bigger than expected from the photos. The location was a little more remote than anticipated but you could not ask for much more in terms of scenery. There is a very long, dusty, gravel road to get to the property. Easy access to a great sand beach at Lake Superior and the Brule River. There is no AC which was difficult, and unexpected. Cell service (Verizon) was decent at the cabin but not in the areas around if you're venturing out. You should take everything you need with you as there are no easy places to pick things up within 30-40 minutes that we could find, and then no cell service to get there. All-in-all, a great place and well stocked with all of the essentials.

Vacation with Kids
An interesting house with plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 young children. Beds were very comfortable. Foosball table and kids movies were a hit for downtime. Plenty of adventures within driving distance. Short walk to river and lake . Beautiful view of the lake.

Great views and location on the Brule
Great little cabin along the brule. Although my groups timing hit very high water on the river we still enjoyed spending time inside. We were able to enjoy dinner in Port Wing and Brule during our stay without having to drive too far.

Jeanneane and I are highschool sweethearts that grew up together, which at that time was the small river town/farm town of Hastings MN. We both have a great love for the outdoors and everything it has to offer. Particularly the Brule River and Lake Superior. We were married at the picnic area at the mouth of the Brule River. Since that time, we have acquired several properties along the lower Brule River. It is our retirement goal to do what we love: to do our best and share the allure of the Brule River and Lake Superior with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

If you love the water, wide open spaces, adventure and friendly people, the Brule area is for you. The local people of Brule are very welcoming. The wildlife and adventure opportunity at the mouth of the Brule River is world class. 30 miles to the Ice Caves/Sea Caves. I tell my guests welcome to 'Wild America'. On any given day you are going to see deer, bear, bobcat, otter, beaver, wolf, coyote, fox, turkey, grouse, water fowl, eagles and birds of all kinds.

What makes this property unique

You can literally walk out the door to unlimited recreational opportunities. Whether you are into fishing, hunting, beach walking, swimming, hiking, Ice caves, Sea Caves, snowmobile & ATV route, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, picture taking, outdoor adventure, bonfires, relaxing, sunsets or cabin life. This place has it all.
