A Great Place for My Brothers & I
This year, we decided to find a property near our ancestral home, and we were pleased with every aspect of this home! Being in our 50s, we appreciated the rustic simplicity and quiet setting. Jennifer and her mom were so gracious and helpful! Great memories to cherish....

Loved the property. It was just as pictured. Great rooms. I would definitely book this property again and bring the grandchildren I think they would love the beds in the loft.

Peaceful Setting
Name describes this property! We enjoy 2 days at Peaceful Hills. The lodge is beautiful. Has all the amenities of home. Even a waffle iron! We’d sit on the deck enjoying morning coffee and at night watching shooting stars. Jennifer was very responsive to any questions I had. We would definitely go back!

I have always enjoyed traveling to new places with my family. I learned about VRBO thanks to my amazing brother, who booked a two-story home for me in the Carolinas. I had a great experience and decided I would join the B&B community. In 2017, my family and I began operating a B&B with three homes on 97 acres. We call them the Cottage, the Cabin, and the Lodge. It has been such a joy to meet so many wonderful people over the last few years.

Why they chose this property

The Lodge has an incredible view from the top of the hill! With an oak spiral staircase and a huge stone fireplace climbing to the 20' wood ceiling, the inside is lovely. Here you will smell the pure, fresh air, which brings more oxygen to your brain, hear the songbirds singing their songs, and feel the beautiful breeze blowing against your face. The night stars are the brightest here, and the fireflies make the place look like you're inside a sparkling palace with gems glistening in the moonlight. The bonfire gives a scent that makes everyone feel young again and the wide-open, huge yard gives the sense that life is good all the time! Being in the center of God's creation is one of the best places to be. It is clean, untarnished, and nature is truly at it's best. The wild flowers are gorgeous here and the white oak trees tower above your heads dropping little acorns to feed the deer and squirrels. The trail through the campground is a dirt road where your feet can touch the earth and get reconnected to country living. The campground road will lead you to a high ridge where you can see the beautiful sunsets overlooking the valleys below. Picnic tables and fire rings are spread throughout the place, which is very well maintained and kept looking very clean. After experiencing the heights of the campground, you can take a stroll down to the creek. The water is crystal clear from a spring and filled with bio-diverse creatures, like crawdads and snails. It's refreshingly cool and perfect for summer months. It's not too deep so you can creek walk and find neat shells and rocks. Fish will nibble at your toes if you stand still long enough. The bridge provides a great place for a shaded picnic lunch and this is all just a short walk from the lodge. There is also a small waterfall campsite which has a table and some chairs to just sit and hear the gentle waters. It is so amazingly peaceful! It's time to experience Peaceful Hills Retreat, so book your reservation soon!

What makes this property unique

This property is a hidden gem. There is not words to describe the feeling you have when arriving and pulling into such a gorgeous haven away from the world. The lodge is special because it has two bedrooms with queen size beds, making it perfect for couples to get away for a retreat.
