This Alpine Villa townhome is located in the heart of Ketchum, and just one minute from the River Run ski lifts! This darling unit was remodeled in 2013, and offers beautifully updated furnishings with a full kitchen. With a unique three-story layout featuring tucked-away lofts and reading nooks, this cozy getaway is ideal for a couple's romantic retreat or a small family vacation.

Upon entering the town home from the fenced-in courtyard, there is an open living/dining/breakfast area on the ground level. On this level is a very efficient gas stove, a flat screen TV, couch and a breakfast bar (seats two). There is additional seating with a pull-out table with two more matching bar stools. The west-facing French doors bring in ample light and wonderful views of Mt. Baldy and her majestic trails.

Up a flight of stairs brings you to a bath with a walk in shower and the master bedroom. The master has a king-size bed and another flat-screen TV. Again, the majestic mountain views are visible from many windows, so you can enjoy the soul-soothing panoramas from the moment you wake up. The master has a open staircase which leads to a small office loft, suitable for an adult needing their own private space to work or read.

One more flight of stairs from the master bedroom level brings you to a small room at the top of the stair. This area has a day bed with a pull out trundle underneath. A ladder on this level will bring you to another nook suitable for reading.

While the home is most comfortable and private for two or three guests, we have plenty of fresh linens and fluffy towels for up to four adults. Please keep in mind, though, that the second bedroom will feel considerably smaller when the trundle bed is pulled out to a king, and the home is not suitable for children under twelve due to its steep staircases and loft ladders. If you need to do laundry while staying in the townhome, shared, coin-operated washers and dryers are located across the parking lot.

This unique townhome makes a truly wonderful getaway. As you climb the stairs between floors, whimsical tree paintings accompany you; you'll immediately understand why we dubbed this home the Ketchum Treehouse!

Nice Location and Cozy Condo but amenities not as advertised.

Good Morning Vacasa, <br />

<br />

I wanted to provide you with some feedback on our recent stay at the &quot;Ketchum Treehouse&quot; prior to posting a review online.<br />

<br />

First of all I would like to say that this is a very unique and cozy property as it has a ton of character and a wonderful location for skiing and access to restaurants and shopping. <br />

<br />

That being said their were a few things that were not great.... In my opinion the rental property was not &quot;as advertised&quot; . For us the goal of any weekend in a mountain town is relaxation, because of the following we were not able to get as much as we could have out of the rental.<br />

<br />

1.) Unfortunately there was not a working hot tub or one at all that was available for our use. This was a big let down as this is one of our favorite activities to wind down after a long day on the mountain and a big reason we chose this property.<br />

2.) The cable service in this unit was essentially useless. We were unable to access any cable channels or movies other than the handful of local news channels with infomercials running 24/7....Even the guest book describes cable service being available but upon accessing the COX Cable guide a message appeared stating to contact the provider to upgrade the plan to receive access to any channels.<br />

3.) This is a BIG ONE!! I woke up in the middle of the night to something crawling on my leg and eventually on my arm/pillow... I jumped out of bed turned on the lights and found two earwigs also know as pincher bugs in the BED! I understand that these things can happen but would not expect to find pincher bugs in linens that were supposedly washed prior to our arrival (same day).<br />

4.) We received a note from the neighbor on our windshield stating that she hoped we enjoyed our visit but not to park in the row near our front door and rather we should be parking on the far side of the lot. This was not indicated in anything that I read and if there is a designated space it should be marked.<br />

I would like to understand what you can do to make this right.<br />

Owner's Response: We are sorry to see there were some disappointments with this stay. This home has not advertised a hot tub for quite some time since the association decided not to fix or replace the hot tub. We are very sorry if this came as a surprise to our guests. The unit has a very basic cable package; guests are welcome to call if they have any questions about it. We did not notice any bugs when inspecting the unit, but we will keep an eye out. There are two parking spaces in front of this unit for guests to park in. We wish we had been notified of the note this guest received so we could have kindly reminded the neighbor of the parking arrangements. Thank you!

Great location, Treehouse is an accurate nickname.

Perfect location: a great combination of easy strolling distance to Ketchum's restaurants and shops combined with a quiet, attractive townhouse setting. The master bedroom on the second floor was delightful: spacious with lots of light through a wall of windows. As accurately depicted in the property description, the townhome is multi-level and has rather narrow, steep stairs with multiple landings and loft-type spaces....that's part of the "treehouse" charm. The master bedroom is the only truly private sleeping area so best suited to a single, a couple, or a family with teen/tween children.
