About Max or Anne Meinel
We live on the farm, and are active driving and riding horses.
Max or Anne Meinel purchased this Farmhouse in 2010
Why Max or Anne Meinel chose Ocala
Its gorgeous. Acres of fenced pasture and architect - designed site - with stable, garage, poolhouse, aviary, circular drive and landscaping. Easy access to Gainesville and Ocala.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Swimming pool, great shade under our huge 500 year old oaks, share our people friendly farm which includes horses, peacocks, cats, dogs, rabbit, and a chicken or two. Use of barbecue and patio table in the poolhouse shelter in view of the spectacular pool. Many photo ops.
Pool / Spa
Wet serene and private, and Max and Anne were just delightful!
Just a beautiful area for enjoying the great outdoors. We highly recommend the location and hospitality, it was exactly what we needed to get away for a few days and relax
Wonderful location in Ocala’s horse country-good price-fascinating environment
We found the property to be beautiful, especially at sunset.
The rental was spacious and clean. We especially liked the huge bathroom and kitchen. Our hosts were gracious and fascinating. It was a great place to take refuge from a hurricane.
Wonderful peaceful place to stay in the heart of horse country. Comfortable, clean and relaxing.
I love it !!!!!
I love it. yes ......amazing place and peaceful. Anne and Max are very nice.
Peaceful, serine with a beautiful view
We were greeted upon our arrival by Max & Anne. The apartment was just as pictured. Had everything we needed. The atmosphere of the farm was absolutely tranquil. I loved petting the horses & watching them graze in the fields. The pool was the perfect temperature & quite relaxing. There are plenty of parks with natural springs to cool off from the Florida heat. I would definitely stay her again. Thanks for a lovely vacation spot to call home for a few days.
Staying on a Farm!
The owners were very nice and friendly. I think they live in the next unit. They were very welcoming. It was very peaceful to sit out at the patio table at night and in the morning. The a/c worked wonderful. There were 2 TVs. The unit had everything - washer/dryer, dishwasher, blankets, paper towels, blow dryer, pots and pans - plenty of bath towels. They even had a basket with coffee and tea. Very thoughtful. I did not see any soap (but we brought soap) so no issue. The farm was not difficult to find. It had a kitchen, living room, big bedroom and bathroom with spa tub and a shower. I believe they have a pool - although we did not use it.
The only complaint I had is we upgraded our rental car and rented a very expensive car , to use during our visit. I am a dog lover and am fine with all types of dogs. They actually rescue dogs and had a foster. Very commendable and shows their true love of animals. Their dogs were very friendly and sweet, (ran over to greet us/welcome us) although they did jump on the car a couple times. I was very afraid they would damage it with their claws. Luckily no damage was done - the car we rented was black and very expensive - I would hate to have to pay for damage done by someone else's dogs.
That was the only negative, but it could have been a big deal and a real problem - if the rental car got damaged. Perhaps the visitor parking could somehow be closed off from the dogs? Not sure how it could be resolved.
