About this property

Gorgeous rural home next to the castle / Preciosa casa rústica junto al Castillo

The Portal: Built on one of the city walls, on the north face of this steep defensive hill, the house has great views of the entire valley with its meadows and orchards and nearby mountains. This house-wall is just a few meters from the beautiful Castillo de Moratalla, which belonged to the Order of Santiago and has been recently renovated. Alleyways, recesses, slopes, staircases and typical corners, the urban geography of Moratalla reminds visitors of quirky Alpujarras of Granada and take us back to the cities and high settlements of the pre-Roman Iberian period, a period of intense agricultural and cultural activity in these mountains and valleys
