Quiet comfortable Bungalow on a private road with 2 canals close to interstate 75 (8 min), dozens of Restaurants & Tiki bars within a 10 minute drive. The Legacy Bike Trail (5 min), 2 beaches on the Gulf of Mexico - Venice Beach (7 min), & Nokomis Beach (7 min).

The house has a private dock in back and a separate kayak launch in front. . Search for sharks teeth on Venice beach (sand shovels, fishing gear, cooler and beach chairs provided). Watch the sunset from a kayak, or from Nokomis or Venice Beaches. Swim, bike (5 provided), kayak (5 provided by owner), fish, hunt Shark's Teeth or take advantage of Venice downtown shopping, and beach life. Only 2/10th of a mile from The Legacy Bike Trail with over 20 miles of biking trails. Be close to everything, yet far enough away to be private.

Two bedrooms. Master has a queen bed and second bedroom has two twin beds. Futon in beach room can sleep 2 more if needed. One and a half bathrooms. Full kitchen with everything necessary, including gas grill, to cook and eat-in. Or eat out if you prefer. Best local seafood is at Captain Eddie's or Nokomo's, only minutes away.

Vacation by biking the Legacy Trail or take kayaks to the backwaters of old Florida. See Florida birds, turtles, an occasional alligator or manatee! Or row into the bay and Intercoastal waterway. Enjoy paradise without distractions! Back screened in patio overlooks the canal. Safe and quiet. No pets permitted for the comfort of other guests.

Great stay!
We had a great time here. Communication was great, and the unit was clean. It was great to have a variety of coffee makers. It was also very handy to have the kayaks and the easy put-in. We brought our own bikes, but could have used the ones onsite. Will definitely look to book here again.

Comfortable home
This property was just as advertised. In a quiet neighborhood, peaceful views and great location to access all Nokomis/Venice have to offer. Appreciated the desk for working and the kayaks/bikes for recreation. And the screened patio was perfect anytime of the day. The host was responsive with any questions. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Paradise
Perfect paradise for snowbird to work & sneak out for long lunches on the water and bike trail. House was perfect with screened patio, office overlooking the water, lots of large spaces & storage, great cooking & eating accessories, quiet and wonderful views / breezes. Internet was sufficient for several laptops and phones. Never could have imagined a better kayak launch than down the driveway! Bike was good to ride out to Sarasota & back. Hosts were very pleasant, glad to have met them and have been blessed to stay there for sure!

Lots of amenities
We enjoyed our stay here very much. All the amenities and conveniences were very much appreciated. We used the bikes to visit town and the kayaks to go to the jetty and up the river to the Capri Isles. We even saw dolphins and alligators among multiple birds. However, we decided to go to Florida east for warmer temperature and ocean. Thanks for this quiet place, home away from home.

Perfect, quiet location. Kyacks and bikes provided. Right on the canal with access to the bay and bike trail. Close to groceries and restaurants. Extremely clean. Easy communications. Very relaxing.

We have lived in Nokomis for over 35 years and are STILL in love with the area. It isn't nearly as crazy as the traffic and congestion you find in Sarasota. But it's close enough if you want to go. Restaurants are close and there are SO many to choose from.

Why they chose this property

We originally bought this house to move in but decided it best to rent it and share the Florida waters with others. We love to kayak the backwaters of the canals and enjoy the peace and quiet. Always relaxing.

What makes this property unique

NO PRESSURE. Just relax and enjoy the area. If chosen, the kayaks are in the garage. Open the door and pull them across the front lawn to the slip on our front canal. Or take the bicycles on a ride for miles in the back trails that USED to be the Ringling Brothers Circus train tracks. Or just relax and sit on the dock at our backyard canal. Fish if you like!
