Located in the heart of the scenic red rock country of southern Utah and northern Arizona, Kanab provides the ideal base for exploring the national parks of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Glen Canyon/Lake Powell, and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, as well as a host of State Parks and other outstanding attractions.

Designed in 2011 by the owner, a local architectural and landscape designer, this home provides luxury and stylish accommodation in an exceptionally tranquil setting, while only 5 minutes from the town center. The property offers open views of local red rock buttes, and the Kaibab Plateau on the southern skyline towards the Grand Canyon. The two driveways provide off-street parking for 3 cars.

The central open plan living room, kitchen, and dining area provide comfort and convenience in this state-of-the-art contemporary home.

The well-appointed kitchen offers new stainless steel appliances (gas range, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher), with new washer and dryer in the adjoining laundry, flat screen satellite TV in the living room, free wireless internet throughout. Tiled floors, atmospheric lighting, and large south-facing windows create a fresh and modern atmosphere. French doors from the living room and patio doors from two of the bedrooms access the south-facing patio.

Three bedrooms provide comfortable beds and ample linen, with large closet spaces, and easy access to bathrooms. The carpeted master bedroom offers a King Posturepedic with memory foam, and a tiled walk-in shower in the bathroom.

The home runs on 100% clean wind energy sourced thru Arcadia Power (www.arcadiapower.com), which is Green-e Energy certified and meets the environmental and consumer-protection standards set forth by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions. More details available on request.

About Tim Clarke

I grew up and received my education in the UK, graduating in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. After spending 11 years in Crete, Greece, I moved to southern Utah in 1997, initially in Boulder and then Kanab. I work as a freelance architectural and landscape designer, as well as owning two short-term rental houses in Kanab.

I have a passion for the land and especially our phenomenal redrock country. I strongly support our public lands, and I enjoy trail running and biking.

The ONLY place to stay in Kanab!

This is the only place to stay in Kanab! The house is wonderful. We had our Thanksgiving and celebrated my husband's birthday here. The house is clean and very comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms, but we only used 1. It is a good size for a family or just a couple like us. It's centrally located to several parks and restaurants. Kanab is a great place to visit if you're Vegan since there are several restaurants who cater to Vegans, but there are also great places for carnivores as well (steaks and burgers), Although we ate out several times, we also stayed in and cooked. The kitchen has most everything you'd need to cook a great meal - pots, pans, basic seasonings, etc. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with a park down the road where we took our small dog for exercise. It's just the perfect place. And the washer and dryer were a real bonus! Thanks Tim! You've got a real gem here and we'll be back!

Great choice!

Quick weekend trip to Kanab with friends who won the lottery to hike the Wave. We were very happy staying here! The location was convenient and easy to access. The house has a lot of natural light and the layout is great. Awesome kitchen; open to living area, well equipped and nicely laid out. Even had a French press for coffee. We didn't cook anything elaborate; just breakfast and snacks. Enjoyed dinners at Sego (exceptional) and Rockin' V (very good). The owner, Tim, is very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

Very beautiful!!

We loved the home and location. It is about 3 minutes from town and two very awesome hikes, the Cottonwood and Bunting trails. We will definitely be back. Also, Tim was a great host!

Great little house in Kanab!

We stayed at this house in early October 2017. It was the perfect location to see the North Rim, Zion and Bryce. Located in a very quite neighborhood, it was a nice place to relax to at the end of a busy day. it was nice to cook our own meals...we used the stove and the grill on the patio outside (although we could not find a lighter...so we had to get creative to get it started). It was also nice to have a washer and dryer on site. We did a small load at the end of each day and came back home with no dirty laundry...what a bonus! This is a great deal and a great location for your Southern Utah vacation!
