We had a wonderful time in Galveston. The house is exactly as shown except there is a pod coffee pot instead of the one in the picture. The location is amazing. Well equipped kitchen. We plan on booking again next year.

Disappointing lack of compassion in time of need
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of empathy and understanding displayed by the owner of the house we had rented for our stay from March 14th to March 17, 2024, A few days before our scheduled departure, we received the devastating new that our bother-in-law had passed away. In such a time of grief and mourning, we reached out to the owner to request a rescheduling of our trip, understanding that this unforeseen tragedy made it impossible for us to continue with our vacation plan.Regrettably, the owner was unwilling to accommodate our request for a rescheduled trip. Despite explaining the circumstances that necessitated a change in our travel dates, we were met with inflexibility and indifference. This lack of compassion and unwillingness to work with us during such a difficult time only added to our distress and disappointment.As customers who had looked forward to our stay and had made all necessary arrangements, we had hoped for understanding and consideration from the owner. Unfortunately, our experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths, and we are disheartened by the owner’s refusal to show basic human kindness in a situation that called for it the most.In times of hardship and loss, it is crucial for individuals and businesses to show empathy and flexibility. The owner’s failure to do so has tarnished our perception of their property and their brand. It is my sincere hope that they reconsider their policies and approach in similar situations in the future, as showing compassion and understanding in times of need can make a significant difference to those facing difficult circumstances.Overall, our experience with the owner of the rental property during this challenging time was disappointing and disheartening. We expected more from a service provider in terms of flexibility and compassion, and we were let down. Our thoughts are with our family during this sad time, and we hope that others may not face similar challenges when dealing with unsympathetic individuals or business.

Decent for price
As many of the other reviews stated the door to the deck is broken. It needs new hinges and can pose a danger if you aren’t very careful with it. There is no coffee pot as mentioned in the listing and posted in the online pictures. There is a keurig but I did not bring any pods so I had to go buy some. We also had to purchase our own hand soap for the kitchen & bathroom. I thought that was odd since my other vacation rentals had it. Not sure why but after we showered the floor was soaking wet. I couldn’t see a leak so we just tried not to use much water. My biggest concern was the electrical/wiring in the home. The switches didn’t make since and sometimes were multifunctional. For example in the bathroom, you could not turn on the ceiling fan without the light. Several of the lamps did not work. Some did not have light bulbs or the bulbs did not work. As I mentioned, it was decent for the price but you get what you pay for.

good location, enjoyed the beach vibes and sunrise/sunset views. everything as described and clean. we had a good time and will be back soon. only rhing we wished for was the deck door was not so hard to lock and wish there was a grill on site.
