I had an awesome stay despite the lake being to cold to swim. The place is secluded and quiet. It is also only 5 minutes from anything you need while you are there. Highly recommend it to anyone. The host was amazing throughout the stay as well!

Great place for our get-together
We had a friend get-together and this house worked out perfectly for us. Everyone loved all the space the house gave us and the beautiful view out the back looking at the lake. The home owners are wonderful at responding to inquiries. Thanks for sharing your home!

MEA WEEKEND GETAWAY
My sisters (6), three cousins and I spent 3 wonderful days at your home. We fell in love with the home, setting, and the accommodations. The kitchen was a great space for us all to gather and do some meal preparation. Plenty of space to visit, play games and just catch up with each other. The home owners were easy to work with and we certainly will keep this place in mind for another getaway! I highly recommend this place for any one and for any reason!

Wonderful retreat
Our group of women gathered for a retreat. Some did scrapbooking, others sewed, some read books and took walks. Two of our group canoed on beautiful Lake George. The home is very pleasant. Great spaces for crafting, chatting, sleeping. The kitchen has all the amenities. The main craft room faces the lake. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. Close to New London with its many boutique shops. The home owner was very easy to work with and accommodating. We plan on returning again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous and Comfortable Getaway!
My group of friends and family have stayed at this property two years in a row for our annual Scrapbooking Retreat, and will be back again next year! The house is perfect for a girls getaway, and the owners have always been accommodating of our group and responsive to communications. While staying at this comfortable, cozy house, the lake provides beautiful views all day and the area is perfect for a walk when we need a break from crafting! We love the retreat on Idlewood Acres.

About the host
Hosted by Greg or Sarah Schwitters
We purchased this home in 2013 with hopes that we will be able to spend time at the lake with our family. Knowing we don't have a lot of time to spend there right now, we want to be able to rent out our lake home for you to enjoy when we cannot be there. Just as we want to create good memories with our kids, it is our hope that you will find memories that will last a lifetime here at Idlewood Acres on George.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property for several reasons. It is located on a quiet dead end road so very litte traffic will be driving by. There is plenty of yard for our kids to play and enjoy bonfires. It is on the east side of the lake to enjoy the sunsets. We also wanted this lake since it is one the cleanest in the area and you will not get any swimmers itch here.
What makes this property unique
George Lake is a 230 acre lake and one of the cleanest in the area. Lake is great for swimming and you can enjoy fising and watersports. If you forgot something or just want to go to town, you are close to Spicer, MN (Green Lake) where there is grocery store, restaurants, movie theatre, coffee shop, etc.
