For the last 29 years I have owned a travel agency in Vancouver BC. We started running the cottage rental program at La Casa in 2012 and have been working with the Guest House since then. I am still working in Vancouver and caring for my property with the help of our onsite staff. My family has worked with me at La Casa in the summers for the last 3 years and we have enjoyed sharing the resort with family and friends who absolutely love the resort.
Brad Hama purchased this villa in 2010
If you are looking for one place..thats not a condo or a hotel..to be together with your large extended family or friends from different places then this may be the right place for you. If you are looking for a place away from it all where there is swimming, hiking, riding trails, a place for a boat, tennis, or sleeping in the sun..then this might be the right place.
The building used to have a restaurant on the top level which I converted to living space in 2013. I have been told by guests that staying in the Guest House is like having your own private hotel. Plenty of private spaces and large common areas for socializing. The place is very 'kid friendly'. No need to take your shoes off or worry about breaking fine china. Simple, clean and fun. I also kept much of the commercial bar equipment, banquet furniture for parties or events. The large banquet room on the main level remains intact for guests who want to host a wedding or other large event. The other unique benefits are the views from the huge decks and guests have access to all the resort amenities.
We have been repeat guests of La Casa for a few years now. We take our staff team and spouses up to La Casa at least once a year. It is a great space for our staff to relax, unwind, but also get some productive work done if we have to. La Casa offers it all: movie theatre, conference space, great outdoor spaces, games, hot tub, and ample space for our whole team. Even when we look to travel somewhere else, we always find La Casa is hard to beat, and we return. Brad and the management team always treat us very well also. It has become such a tradition for our staff team that we have even created the "La Casa Cup" which is a highly competitive series of challenges designed to crown the "house champion."
Look forward to many more great times and memories made at La Casa.

We loved this place. The view is amazing and even though it was the winter we still enjoyed the deck. The kitchen has everything you could want and the space is great for large groups. I would definitely go back.
Two years ago, my wife and I started planning how we could celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our four children, their spouses and 11 grandchildren aged from 2 to 17 years old. We considered a cruise but soon realized that would not be practical given our number and age range. Renting five lake cottages not too far from each other gave no results. Our son suggested that we try to see if anything suitable was available on HomeAway. Imagine our surprise when we found the La Casa Guest House website. It was love at first sight for the adults and the grandchildren. What you see on the website is what you get and so much more. What a spacious and beautiful lodging for all 21 of us! The Guest House used to be a restaurant. As a result, we had access to restaurant size pots, serving plates etc. We made full use of the three refrigerators, two freezers, and three refrigerators on the main level. We mainly ate outside to enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Okanagan. There was plenty of room to be together, plenty of spaces where one could be alone. Many enjoyed playing pool, darts or one of the many board games provided. We also discovered that we had jigsaw experts in our family. Fun times were many at the pool, 18-hole mini-putt course, volleyball court and the water trampolines. And what a treat to be able to watch our favorite movies in the 120-seat theater! Nobody wanted to leave. Everyone wants to repeat the experience. Need we say more.
If anyone is interested in La Casa, it is good to know that there is one shower and one bathroom on the "bunkhouse" floor. This floor is the second level where one bedroom has four single beds and another has two single beds. In our case, this was fine since one family occupied that floor. The main floor has three bedrooms with two queen size beds. One other bedroom had one queen size bed. There is one shower with two toilets for men, the same for women. One complete bathroom with toilet and shower is also available.
The "Honeymoon suite" on the third floor is really big, with a king size bed, full washroom with showers and a small kitchen. It opens onto a beautiful space with a large hot tub and hammock. These spaces were all very well used and appreciated by the members of our family. We also really appreciated the washer and dryer.
I rented this beautiful mansion as we all called it for my 50th birthday party weekend. We arrived on Friday while Bruce and Wendy were still cleaning but this did not bother us for we had an early check in. The pictures do not do this mansion justice you truly have to see it in person.
There was 12 of us so plenty of room but we did utilize all 7 bedrooms. The elevator had broken down a few times but it was quickly fixed. The main floor has an office that staff from the resort came and went, there was a 120 seat theatre that we utilized twice with their supplied movies, you access this on second floor where the project for room is located on the bunk floor, one room had 4 twin beds and the other 2 twin beds. There is a tv living room area and bathroom with separate shower room. Main floor had 4 bedrooms with queen and double beds. 2 washrooms with showers. Kitchen, living room area, dining area and games area with fireplace, top floor the best suite with hottub on deck as well. Full fridge microwave coffee maker walk in shower. King bed.
Bruce and Wendy were excellent And thanks to Bruce we were able to watch my birthday video on his laptop. They were accommodating to all of our needs.
Some of my guest thought I paid too much for 3 night stay I however feel it was so worth it to have family and friends under one roof,
The Lakeview unbelievable. A huge deck with chairs tables BBQ.
Will be returning again,
Word of caution roads are very winding lots of wildlife but worth the drive.

Overall, it was a great experience having our wedding at La Casa Guest House. All of our guests were extremely impressed with the house, and some expressed wanting to have their weddings or family reunions at this venue/house.
The house was clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, it was fruit-fly season in the Okanagan, so there was a lot of fruit flies in the house. We were extremely careful with putting away dirty dishes, putting the garbage outside, and setting fruit fly traps. This seemed to help the situation throughout the weekend.
The owners and property managers were helpful, and answered any of our questions. For any person considering this location for an event/wedding, it would be important to have really good communication with the staff working at La Casa. Yvonne set clear expectations of what we needed to do, and also accommodated some of our requests.
If you are planning an event/wedding at the Guest House, it is important to keep in mind that most/all of the set up and tidying needs to be done by those renting the space. I would not suggest this location for people who expect work will be done for them, you have to be willing to put in the time to set up and clean afterwards. I would also highly suggest anyone renting this space for an event/wedding have another day at the end to avoid the panic of cleaning up. We rented La Casa Guest House from the Thursday to Tuesday, which allowed for plenty of time to set up, clean, and enjoy time with our guests and family.
Myself and husband are happy with our experience at La Casa and would recommend this property! Definitely a great place for your wedding!
We had a great time. In fact we have booked for the next two years. Thank - you Brad and Yvonne for everything. I would recommend the Guest House to others for many different occasions. Location is great it was clean and well maintained. Everyone loved it.
Thank-you
