Grand Solamar, Cabo San Lucas- A Winner
Our entree to Cabo was through this seller who bent over backwards to accommodate and answer all of my questions. Very easy to deal with, providing timelines of when I would hear from him and what the next steps were. I look forward to renting from this seller again.
As for the resort? It was spectacular, the rooms were very spacious and elegant with high end linens and pillows, meticulously clean. Every room has an outstanding balcony and faces the water. As wonderful as this resort is, the staff and service were even more remarkable. .... professional yet warm, personable and accessible..... always checking in and making sure your needs are met. (A special thank you to Jorge, Jose and Elizabeth). The security was top notch and there were no vendors pushing wears.
The resort is very private with so many wonderful nooks (both in the pools and on the property ) and the many infinity pools were beautiful. We never had to struggle for a chair or umbrella. FYI, the beaches are unswimmable due to the rip tide currents.
As for the food (we are cooks and have high expectations).. We had booked reservations at other restaurants prior to arrival after reading lots of reviews. The first night we ate at the GS resort. It was pretty good. We went to the Pedregal the second night and were a tad disappointed and liked the views and environment at GS better, so we bought a 3 day meal plan, ate too much then chose to pay for meals al a carte so we could still fit into our clothes when we went home:) and ate only at the resort which worked really well. Many restaurants to choose from, most nights with highly curated musicians.
