A true home in the woods, custom built for maximum peace and relaxation. This home brings a new experience to one of the most private and romantic cabins in all of the Catskill Mountains.

This two level mountain house fits a family or group of 9 (maximum) with comfort and ease with a full king-sized master suite is located on the second floor open loft area, and a large full sized bedroom including a pull out couch full bed and a third bedroom with twin bunk beds and a full bed both located on the first floor.

The indoor layout offers a large open floor space plan with a spacious and luxurious fully-equipped kitchen area set for preparing home cooked meals, that adjoins the dining (overlooking the large pond right off the front porch) and living room area. The living room offers a 50" plasma TV, with blu ray box to watch your favorite movies, sports events, cable and Netflix shows (or choose one of many DVDs left for your convenience), as well as a stunning stone wood burning fireplace for a romantic fire.

Enjoy your drink or morning coffee out on the oversized deck while marveling at the wildlife, pond and scenery that surrounds you from all sides of the home. Regardless of the weather, rainy days will not put a damper on your outdoor experience as the front porch overhang will allow you to enjoy the sound and ambiance of the rain.

Take walks down the dirt road to enjoy the beautiful weather and the changing leaves in the fall and collect fossils. Have a blast fishing in the catch and release scenic pond on the land, soaking in the silence of the surrounding forest.

Secluded is an understatement for this private cabin, quite a distance from any road noise or traffic. Attractions are as close as:

Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

This lodge is just fantastic. It's gorgeous as well as functional.

The lodge was clean and well kept, it's obvious the owners take great pride in their property. No detail was left unchecked. Even the light switches are labeled to keep you from fumbling around with them.

The kitchen is beautiful and is full of everything you would need to make home cooked meals. Large over, nice gas cook top, large microwave, wine fridge, etc.

Everything is top notch: the copper lighting, the wood interior, the floors, the bathrooms all extremely high quality materials. It's just plain beautiful.

The Lodge has radiant floor heat, so even though it was -5 degrees out, the inside was always a toasty 72! The fireplace could probably heat the lodge fairly well on it's own, a switch on the wall turns on the blower fan and the fireplace was cranking.

The Lodge is VERY secluded. There was no one even close to us. It snowed while we were there and our tire tracks were the only ones until you got out to the larger road.

That said, we went to Howe's Cavern (40 minutes), Cooperstown and The Baseball Hall of Fame (25 minutes), and to get supplies in Oneonta is only 15 minutes away. It's a pretty good balance of seclusion and activities. We really liked our time in the lodge just cooking and watching the TV and playing games.

Steve was very easy to work with and addressed our small concerns very promptly and satisfactorily.

Can't say enough nice things about the place, really!

If you want to visit the Cooperstown area, or just get away from everything, you can't do much better than this.

Hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time not staying in a hotel for a little family getaway. The listing had everything we could have needed and the house was very clean. We enjoyed just sitting out front each morning enjoying some peace and quiet. The next trip we hope to stay here again this upcoming May.

Beautiful and tranquil

  • 5 of 5

Tranquil and lovely setting, made a great birthday getaway gift to me from my husband.

Truly an escape from the chaotic days that we have. House is clean, spacious, and the amenities are a nice touch. I highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to escape their everyday life

We will definitely visit this property in the future!!

Peaceful Cabin in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is amazing. Its close enough to either Cooperstown or Oneonta, but also secluded enough to feel away from it all. The cabin itself is spacious and very updated so you aren't roughing it whatsoever. My wife loved the modern kitchen as well as the extra bedrooms for our kids. I loved the large open living room with fireplace as well as the stone fascia walls, it really gave it that rustic look while still having all the accommodations of an upscale modern home. We took nice strolls through the woods in the morning after the wife and i had coffee overlooking the peaceful pond. Steve was awesome to work with and i can't wait to come back next year!!!!!

Beautiful weekend away

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is beautiful! It was great getting to experience the rural and secluded feel of upstate NY, while having a beautiful, modern and luxurious cabin all to ourselves. 30 minutes from Cooperstown, so we were able to enjoy a day of activities there. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. I’m looking forward to booking this cabin again next year!

Wow what a place, R&R at its best

  • 5 of 5

Love this home, it's nicer than my families home. Got a fire going in the front by the porch and enjoyed the view of the pond. Kids loved running around and just being kids. Cooperstown baseball museum was great as always, checked out brooks BBQ which was great. Will be back next year for dreams park again. Thanks to the owners everything was perfect
