The space: We have two separate casitas on the property that adjoin each other. The rental includes both. The casitas are typical Palapa style of open, indoor/outdoor living.
Main casita: Faces the ocean with a full view of the Pueblo. It has an outstanding view of the ocean and out-of-this- world sunsets overlooking the pool. The kitchen is updated with top of the line appliances including a 6 burner stove, oven, full size fridge with filtered water and filtered ice. The dinning room table seats 12 and is great for large dinner parties and excellent for board/card games after dinner. The main casita has two bedrooms. Bedroom one is located on the first floor and has a queen size bed. Bedroom two is located on the second floor with a queen size and single size bed. Additionally on the first floor there is a queen size swinging bed off to the side of the living room (many peoples favorite place to relax) along with a king size bed in front of a 55" flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. There is a DVD player, Bose stereo, tons of books to read in the hammock while looking out at the ocean.
Second casita: Face the mountains and jungle with views of the canyon heading towards the back waterfall. The first floor has a newly remodeled kitchen with a dinning table. The bathroom and shower are also located on the first floor. The bedroom is located on the second floor. It has a new pillow top kingsize bed a queen size bed. There is also a nice hammock with a dream catcher attached to it.
Guest access: We are located on the hill above the NE side of the bay just above the Hotel Lagunita. It's a 5 minute walk up approximately 300 stairs to get to our Casa.
Upon arrival: One of our staff members will greet you at the pier by Hotel Lagunita. If you like, they will have a mule to carry your luggage to the house. (Suggested tip is $100 pesos per trip for mule service) Once at the house they will take a few moments to get you familiarized with the property.
Various details: There is a washer for clothing on the property. All beds have mosquito netting. All rooms have fans.
Our interaction with guests: We have a grounds keeper that comes daily and is available for anything that might arise. We can help in arranging activities, tours, etc., but the casa's themselves are in their own very private venue and other than basic maintenance, your time and privacy will be honored. We ask that guest don't use the pizza oven. If you would like to have a pizza night we can make arrangements for a chief to come to the house and make pizzas for you and your guest. Inquire within for pizza night pricing.
Our guests peace of mind: We have a bodega for our guest to lock up their valuables. The property additionally has video surveillance. We are committed to providing an environment for our guest that is safe and quiet with peace of mind during your stay.
How to get to Yelapa: For starters you fly into Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Mexico. Yelapa is only accessible by boat so here are directions to catch a water taxi to Yelapa. The first and easiest place to catch a water taxi to Yelapa is located at the end of the Los Muertos Pier. Jump into a taxi and tell them you are heading to Yelapa and need to go to Los Muertos Pier and they will know where to take you to. Once they drop you off you will walk towards the water and pier which will be visible from drop off. As your walking down the block towards the water and the end of that block there is a Water Taxi booth you will see on your right. They can assist you in buying tickets for the water taxi to Yelapa. It usually cost around 350 peso for a round trip ticket. If you don't know how long you will be staying in Yelapa I recommend just buying a one way to ticket to Yelapa. It is advised to be at the end of the pier 10-15 minutes early just to make sure you make the trip to Yelapa. If you have extra luggage a tip is in order for the guys on the boat. Once you pull into Yelapa they will first stop at a pier on the left. Usually they ask if your going to Hotel Lagunita and this is where you want to get off the boat at. One of our staff members will be there to meet you.
