Chateau Cona offers ski-in ski-out with drive-in access and hot tubs. It is on the side of the village closest to the Strathcona Park trail head for hiking.

Bedroom 1 Upper Unit: Sleeps 4, Queen, daybed and trundle - Bedroom 2 Upper Unit: Sleeps 4, Queen, double wall bed - Bedroom 3 Upper Unit: Sleeps 4, 2 bunk beds sleeping 4. Bedroom 4 Lower Unit: Sleeps 4, Queen, bunkbeds - Bedroom 5 Lower Unit: Sleeps 3. Double with single loft.

There are two private hot tubs, a sauna and jacuzzi.

There is parking for 5 vehicles. It is a short walk to the Day Lodge and restaurants. The towns of Courtenay/Comox/Cumberland in the Comox Valley are a 25-minute drive away.

Why the name Cona? Well... StrathCONA Park, an epic playground for outdoor leisure, is right out the back door!

Fantastic, clean, and spacious chalet. Loved it.

The space was clean and setup when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and nice silverware. Bedrooms were really nice as well. Sauna was our favourite part. Would go back in a heart beat.

A nice property for a large group

We rented both units for our extended family. This was a family reunion in the summer. Having both units was ideal and very comfortable. The upper unit is definitely more spacious and comfortable and has a better equipped kitchen. Really nice having both units as we could access both hot tubs and barbecues. The owners are very responsive to issues that arise and helpful in sorting out confusion over workings of various appliances, etc. Being up on the mountain allowed for a quiet get together and the area afforded good outdoor opportunities for individuals and families.

About Karla

Passionate about skiing and traveling, Brian and Karla Scott decided to purchase a vacation property at their home mountain so leisure was truly out their back door. In the accommodation business already with The Cona Hostel in Courtenay for backpackers, it seemed a logical fit to buy a property that they could share with other snow-lovers too.

When Brian wanted to return to his native Vancouver Island, Karla, originally from Manitoba, was game as long as skiing was part of the package.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
