The Dupuyer Cache Cabin is over one hundred years old, artistically restored with many modern comforts. Just 12 miles from the Continental Divide, you can awaken to a spectacular view of Old Man of the Hills. Escape the city lights and traffic congestion with a stay in the sparsely populated region of the East Front of the Rocky Mountains minutes from Glacier National Park.
Ivan Doig, the Nationally awarded author, describes Dupuyer in its earlier day glory magnificently in his autobiographical story This House of Sky. Dupuyer is also the inspiration in his fiction books descriptions and details of English Creek (Dupuyer Creek) and of the community of Gros Ventre.
Perhaps you want to unwind from City life, take time for personal introspection and relaxation, read a good book or breathe plenty of fresh mountain air.
The Cabin is artistically decorated and furnished, including arts and crafts from many Montana artists and artisans. In nearby Dupuyer (about 1/2 mile) is located Dupuyer Cache, the retail outlet for Beaverslide Dry Goods merino wool yarn, a bonanza for knitting and crocheting enthusiasts.
This is a non-smoking household and is also pet free within TheCabin. Please, in respect to others and potential allergies, no smoking or pets inside the Cabin.
Although children may certainly enjoy a wilderness experience, they must be supervised by an adult at all times. The Cabin is comfortable but also rustic and old without modern guidelines or safety features. Dupuyer Creek runs through the property attracting wildlife and fishing opportunities.
Each season in this part of the country is unique, nature and wildlife abound. The Rocky Mountains and riparian areas provide ideal habitats.
