This charming cottage located at the beginning of the 'Wild and Scenic' Molalla River Corridor is the perfect getaway for those seeking quiet communion with nature, hiking, biking, using it as home base to explore the area's many attractions, or just chilling out on the porch with a good book.

Molalla River Cottage is comfy and bright, tastefully decorated, and offers a pleasant respite for those seeking peaceful relaxation in a beautiful rural setting. Entering the front door you will find a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your own meals if desired. As you walk through the kitchen you will find the open living room with gas burning fireplace and hardwood floors. There is a comfy sofa, chairs, and a daybed for lounging or sleeping. Togetherness awaits whether you choose to relax with a good book or enjoy a movie or music on the DVD player.

This getaway is a single-level floor plan for those with limited mobility although there are a few steps to the front porch and a step down to the living room. The back porch provides a peaceful place to relax by the creek on a warm and sunny summer day or a BBQ on the gas grill in the evening. Perhaps the most appealing feature of this lovely cottage is easy access via a short marked trail through meadow/pasture to the beautiful Molalla River. The trail leading to the river is slightly steep at the end. The river changes with the seasons and the cottage owners provide a lovely sitting area by the river with firepit for quiet reflection.

What's nearby:
Sweet Creek Cottage provides a comfortable stay within easy access of the Molalla River Corridor, Hardy Creek trail system, (horses and mountain bikes, hiking), and the Table Rock Wilderness Area. A drive along this scenic waterway reveals numerous waterfalls and geological features. This charming cottage is 15 miles from the historic town of Silverton (where you will find the beautiful Oregon Garden) and just seven miles from the rural town of Molalla where full services (groceries, restaurants, medical services, gas, etc.) are provided. Molalla is also home of the world famous 'Molalla Buckeroo' and Parade during the 4th of July holiday season, professional bull riding events, world class sky diving, city parks, and historic sites. Easy access to numerous sites of interest, rural beauty, and the Molalla River make this retreat a great choice for an active getaway or a quiet and peaceful time of rest and relaxation.

Great little cabin
This was a sweet little escape not super far away from town. The only thing that I would suggest is asking that if you're visiting in colder months you request the heat be turned on prior to check in. It was freezing and took a few hours to heat up. Otherwise it was a great little place and most likely will visit there again.

Cute but dated
This was a cute house, directions left out a step so it was a little difficult to find. There were a lot of items in disrepair, kitchen faucet, warped pans, pans with coating peeling, odd smell. It was very hot while we were there, we were aware before hand that there was no a/c, but very few of the windows had screens so we were unable to open windows to cool off. There was excellent wifi so it seemed unfortunate that the tv was an old box tv only capable of vhs and dvd. The bed was very hard and we had an ant invasion in the bathroom the night before we left. The area was nice, close to what we were there for. River is beautiful but difficult to get to the water.

Perfect spot for exploring Molalla River Corridor
Very homey cottage in such a great location. There is a short trail here to the beautiful Molalla River. And the cottage is situated at the entrance to the Molalla River Recreation area which provides so many things to do along the Molalla River. The owners, who live next door, were very friendly and welcoming, along with their two super cute and friendly little dogs. A wonderful stay; we look forward to coming back again soon

Cottage is awesome
The area is beautiful. Marked trail down to the river. Nice bed. Stove, oven toaster, 2 coffee makers, bottle opener, good for wine also. No t.v. but dvd and vcr movies welcome. Washer, dryer, extra blankets . Bring your own charger and cords and plug in. Great area for relaxing and fun and getting away from the city. Farther away from the city then they estimate
