Nice Home, but Steep Long Driveway.

  • 4 of 5

The home was very nice. I loved the bonus room, i.e. the conference room, it made unloading and loading much easier. We used the bonus room as a playroom for the younger children. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked with utensils. I did not like the constant train whistles during the night, or the very steep driveway. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Family Thanksgiving getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family met in Chattanooga for our annual getaway and used this place for dinner since it was spacious. It is handicap accessible with an open floor plan that allowed us to interact with the rest of the family while we cooked. The view from the back deck is spectacular with beautiful sunrises. The home is located on a ridge so the incline to the house is a little steep but offers a good workout if you walk it. The meeting room had plenty of space for game night. This home offered all the conveniences of home minus the recycle bin. This place is definitely one of the best places I've stayed!

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

There were 7 women on this trip and we LOVED it. The house was SUPER clean! They thought of everything. There were plenty of fans, nightlights, towels, pillows, hair dryers etc... we lacked for nothing. The trains go by regularly but it was not a problem we actually enjoyed it! Check in/out was easy. lots of parking. The craft room was great even had a tv so we could watch youtube vidoes! We hated to leave. Did I mention how clean it was?

Clean, spacious, comfortable for a small group or multi family gathering

  • 5 of 5

Great space, especially for price. We went with 3 young families and the space worked great for 5 young kids. It would also work well for small group retreats as well. Property was clean and comfortable. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only downside of the entire experience was that we couldn't book through vrbo and had to email in paperwork. It wasn't a big deal, but slightly less convenient than booking online. Overall very pleased and would consider this property again!

About Mary Hoppe

This property was designed and built to become a retreat house. The Chattanooga area was and currently is lacking quality short term rental houses. We built this to fit our needs for visiting relatives and friends. We are offering vacant times on the calender to others.

Mary Hoppe purchased this house in 2009

Why Mary Hoppe chose Apison

This area is the fastest growing area of Tennessee. We are located in a remote area of the Chattanooga area. The town of Apison is a quiet and small farming community on the outskirts of the city. We are the alternative to the high prices, noise, and congestion found in the city.

What makes this house unique

Sit on the deck high above the tree tops or on the swing near the top of the hill and enjoy the views. Watch deer, fox, and other wildlife pass by throughout the day. Centrally located to all the Chattanooga attractions and Whitewater rafting/ tubing in the Ocoee area. Easily experience it all from one location.
