1 BR self contained apartment with private entrance across from a beautiful park

Clean, comfortable 1 bedroom garden level suite with private entrance, patio, and garden. Close to everything Vancouver has to offer - shopping, restaurants, recreation and the Canada Line subway to downtown and the airport all a short walk away.

Four bus lines run very close, taking you directly to Downtown, UBC, Stanley Park, Granville Island, etc. If you arrive by car, there is free parking just outside the door.

BC's major health centres, Vancouver General Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, and BC Children's Hospital are all within 15 minutes walking distance.

This is a great location for families, with a nice park across the street with playground, fitness center, running track, and splash pool in summer. Free family oriented concerts every Thursday evening in the summer! Hillcrest Olympic Rec Center is also close by, with a large pool (indoor and outdoor), skating rink, library, etc.

Local shopping and restaurants are only 500m away, in Cambie Village. Other shopping districts are also within just a few km: Main Street, South Granville, Granville Island, and the large Oakridge Mall.

When you are not out in the city, enjoy the peaceful private patio with a view of the park and mountains!

The apartment is very quiet and private, with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the sitting room that converts to a second queen-sized bed. A single mattress or a portable crib can be supplied on request. The bathroom has grab bars installed in the bath tub, making access easy and safe. Clean linens and towels are provided, and housekeeping services during the stay are available if desired. Guests also have free access to a shared laundry room.

The living room has been recently updated with a 42" flatscreen TV.

This is a very beautiful, convenient and popular neighbourhood and we love living directly across from Douglas Park an being able to get around so easily without driving.

We just stayed at the place for one night and it was great. No issues at all. The apartment is nice and clean and had everything available. There is also a LCD TV in the living room (pictures showed an old one) and has a cable box too. No issues with the Internet. There is access to the laundry room, but we didn't use it except for the iron. The place is about 10min drive to downtown. Parking is free on the street beside the house. The entrance to the apartment opens up to the park and gives a really peaceful feeling. My mother in law loved it and sat outside for a while in the morning just relaxing to the view.

Great location away from the bustle of downtown

It may be away from the bustle of downtown but it is close to Cambie Street and all of the unique shops and eateries there. It is also close to a Skytrain station and only 4 stops from downtown. We selected this place because of its proximity to Queen Elizabeth Park where the BMO Marathon and half marathon start. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and only a 10 minute walk to the start line. The unit was clean, well lit and had all the amenities we needed to cook dinner. Jamie responded quickly to the one request we had. The only negative would be the fact the bathroom is off the master bedroom which would make things awkward if another couple were staying and making use of the hide-a-bed.

Quiet location with lovely park

This was a wonderful quiet location. We took our grandchildren to the park across the street and had fun times there. We made many fond memories in this area. Jamie was a great host and even let us in earlier than 4:00pm on the day we arrived which was a real plus! It is a lovely safe neighbourhood of older updated heritage homes which we love. There is a small plaza shopping centre within walking distance where we purchased our groceries. The buses and skytrain are also within walking distance, although you cannot hear them, which we were pleased with. I would recommend this suite to family and friends. Many thanks Jamie!

Sweet little Suite with Easy Access to Public Transit

We Visited Van in April and chose this modest space for our home base. It is located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. We loved having the park across the street for my daughter to play in and she loved the proximity to the swingset. Minutes walk to the Canada Train Line meant that any attraction was easy to access. It was a little green oasis to come home to at the end of the day. The unit itself was well appointed with towels and sheets for the pull out sofa. Everything was clean and comfortable. We liked having all the channels on the large tv, we were able to still catch our favorite show Silicon Valley on HBO, lots of tv variety. Kitchen was small and suitable for making toast and small simple meals, but not a good spot to cook full meals for the family, plus the fire alarm is VERY sensitive. We ended up eating out more so as not to risk setting it off. All in all a wonderful location for exploring the beautiful city. We would book with this VRBO again for sure.

Perfect for getting a slice of the best of Vancouver living

The suite was very accessible. Good location for all our needs and easy to get out into city but private and pleasant to retreat to. The park was such a nice place to look out over, as well as the beautiful view of the mountains from the front door and kitchen. I will stay there again when I need accommodations in the city. It was just right.
