This cozy log cabin was built in 1944, by John Earl Fraser, a decorated WWI veteran. His grandson and his great grand daughter live on the property.
The log cabin offers all the amenities you need including a kitchen, dining table for four, comfortable seating, two high definition TVs, WiFi, and a beautifully renovated bathroom which includes a rainfall and a hand held shower. The separate master bedroom has a comfy king size bed, pillows that are certified asthma and allergy friendly, brass lamps that sit on suspended old growth fir nightstands and high definition TV that you can watch while relaxing in bed.
The main room (600 sq. ft.) has wide plank first growth fir floors, TV, hot/cold water cooler, fully equipped kitchen : stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and cooking utensils where you can cook meals with ease. It also includes a comfy pull out bed and most importantly, an atmosphere where you can feel safe and unwind.
Relax and watch as birds come to the feeders and hear the hummingbirds zip! There have been over 92 different species of birds identified on this property. It is easy to observe and identify birds - you are only 2 feet from feeders. At night while sitting on the back deck enjoy the stars (there is an observatory close by for a reason) while being serenaded by barred owls.
The log Cabin is on 10 acres surrounded by lush West Coast forest in quiet area. Take a 10 minute stroll through the woods to enjoy a refreshing swim in Prospect Lake. It is very close to numerous hiking trails, Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, wineries, and numerous parks where you can picnic and swim.
There is coffee/tea, milk or cream and fresh organic eggs from our free range chickens provided for breakfast.
The log cabin and our house are in close proximity, however, I can assure you, once you are in the log cabin or on the back deck you will have complete privacy.
