Cozy cottage
This was a disappointing rental. Location is great. House was not available the night I booked for. Was on hold with VRBO for 45 minutes before speaking to someone (who was helpful). She tried to contact owner. After already driving away and making other plans, owner finally called. Got into place the next day. Place was not very clean. Huge cobwebs on hall table (noticeable from front door), dead lines in tub, food remnants in fridge and sink. No air conditioning, even though it was listed as an amenity in the profile. Fans were adequate.

Lovely cottage all you need!
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely South Kingston cottage! Location: I loved grabbing oysters during buck a shuck happy hour next door at the legendary Matunuck’s Oyster Bar! My kids and I brought bikes and boogie boards and the short 5-9 minute bike ride to the East matunucks beach was lovely! We back packed in with bikes and so it was free(they only charge for parking.) The cottage itself had some games for the kids and we all found the beds very comfortable! I seriously slept better in the bed there than in my own! The girls loved having their own small private room with twin beds. The futon was very comfortable too and one night we opened it up for movie night and it was easy to do. The kitchen is tiny but has all you need. We even had my dad down for beaching and dinner one night and made a huge seafood feast! So totally adequate. My daughter bakes and we found all we need. Cooks be aware that there is no salt or pepper or any condiments. So we brought everything. No Washing machine- be aware there is no washer or dryer- for us this was fine but I would advise against terry beach cloth towels! Takes forever to dry. THey have a nice little clothesline out back so we solved this problem by using thin absorbent towels- like a sarongs. Each kid had them and adult and when we came back to the cottage we brought them in the shower and rinsed them off and hung them- after just 1 or 2 hours on the Line they are dry! One rainy day we hung them in the bathroom and they still dried fast! So I really recommend this for this cottage. The outdoor shower is glorious! I wish I had one at home!hot water and all. The back yard is lovely. We loved having coffee and breakfast out on the deck. This seems like the owner took an old home and flipped it making all the cosmetics nice- vinyl wood floors that look and feel great etc. for this lovely rental. I’m a clean freak and they had all you need in one of the kids bedrooms to keep up with that. We loved Jerusalem and Biking to Jims dock! Had a really great time.

Overall really pleasant stay
This cottage is cute and clean. However, the beds were all very uncomfortable . They seemed new but two out of three were very very very soft. And being that I went with my partner the full bed was where we would sleep and it was unbearable by the second week we moved to the futon in the living room. We would have preferred something a little bit more off the beaten path, but you couldn’t beat the proximity to the beach. A nice walk about ten minutes down the road. Having a deck in the sun all day was great as well because of the awning that was retractable. We showered outside every day and didn’t use the indoor shower once, also a nice plus. We grilled every night as well and every morning had breakfast on the deck and listened to the many birds. The property is a Nice little oasis placed on a semi busy road. There is a very busy restaurant next door and sometimes hearing the deliveries and trucks idling got a bit frustrating. All in all, I would recommend this cottage.

A pleasant stay
We enjoyed staying at this house! While it is close to the beach, it is a 15 min walk on a very busy street. Everything was in good condition and we had a great time.
