Hello! I was born and raised in Montana and grew up in Gardiner. I am fortunate to be able to continue living under this beautiful big sky! I enjoying playing in the outdoors as much as possible--rock climbing, biking, hiking, skiing, or just simply taking in beautiful vistas and fresh air. I enjoy cooking and trying new foods. I hope one day I will master the perfect pie crust. As a host, I am happy to help my guests locate fun activities during their stay such as horseback riding, rafting, or exploring Yellowstone by foot. There are so many experiences to be had in the Greater Yellowstone Area!
Aubree Roth purchased this house in 1995
This is the home in which I was raised. It is a wonderful house with spectacular views and immediate river access. This is a family operation and my mother lives on the property and is available to answer any questions (unless she's off kayaking, hiking, or skiing).
We defiantly enjoyed our stay in your home! It was very nicely equipped with everything we could have needed and a very nice selection of DVD's. Plenty of room for 3 adult family's not to all have our own space if needed. The day room as we called it was just awesome to sit in and take in the view., and just truly relax and unwind. We were all very comfortable and will defiantly be staying here again and would recommend the property. So if you are looking at this property do not hesitate, this is the place you will want to go!
I have rented properties worldwide for many years and rented this property from Lori for a winter stay in Gardiner to travel deep into Yellowstone by private snow coach to do wildlife photography. Lori and Aubrey were superb in their responsiveness throughout the renting, planning, and our stay. The property is the best equipped and cleanest of any I have ever rented (and I am picky), the location is superb, and it came complete with a resident herd of elk in the yard! We had some special transportation needs and Lori made every detail our needs work perfectly. I can strongly recommend this property in every respect.
What’s not to like? The Yellowstone River was less than 50 yards from the back deck. (I measured). And the front yard was home for a herd of elk for a couple of days. The house itself was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the artwork throughout the house honoring Yellowstone. Another plus, the north entrance to the Park was only 2 miles away. A special shoutout to Lori and Aubree for allowing us to change our dates 4 times because of scheduling problems.
We loved this home, and everything it had to offer! We wish we would have been able to stay longer. Great location, and everything you need is in the home. All of the books and board games were perfect for the kids! We will definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here for a few days in late September. The cabin is so nice . . . equipped with most any amenity you would need. The drive to Yellowstone was convenient and the view of Yellowstone River from the back of the house was beautiful. The convenience of this home . . . both the location and the thoughtful amenities provided make this a perfect place to stay for a few days at Yellowstone. We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends without hesitation.
This home is located right along the Yellowstone River. It's location is just outside of Gardiner, where it is quiet and the night skies filled with stars. The wildlife is right in the yard. We watched a big bull Elk courting a cow Elk right in the yard. The rooms are all nicely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. It is the best VRBO that we have stayed in thus far in our travels.
The home is perfectly situated for immediately enjoying all the activities that the Greater Yellowstone Area has to offer.
Fly fish: Fish directly from our backyard.
Hiking: Thousands of acres of US Forest Service land are just adjacent to our property, or you can explore Yellowstone National Park.
Hunting: Miles of game country nearby.
Horseback Riding: Bring your horse! Your pony can stay in our 60 by 80 ft corral ($10 per horse per day). Please note: feed and supplies are not supplied. Guided horseback rides with one of the several companies are also a fun way to explore the area.
Rafting: Grab an inner tube and jump in the river right out of our backyard or wave at the house as you float by on a guided raft trip.
Swimming: Not for the faint of heart… Brrr! For those wanting to splash about and seriously cool off, there is a good hole in the river at McConnel Landing, a seven minute walk up the Yellowstone River.
Shopping: A short 5 minute drive brings you to downtown Gardiner with its Old West shops, restaurants, grocery, and fuel.
Visiting Yellowstone: Enter the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park through the historic Roosevelt Arch, just minutes by car in downtown Gardiner.
