This former Bugsy Siegel hunting cabin is nestled in the trees. The style is rustic/modern with lots of light & high ceilings. Take the Bugsy Challenge, find the safe, decipher the clues, & uncover a special gift.
Everything has been upgraded in this renovated 1926 cottage. Secluded & minutes from the famous Tudor House, the famous gathering spot of Bugsy and his gang in the days of prohibition.
At better than hotel rates, the cottage provides an experience not to forget with amenities including a full kitchen, a relaxing outdoor patio space and best of all, privacy. The cottage is set up as a studio downstairs with the very comfy queen bed tucked away in it’s own nook (pictures coming). The house has been expanded since the photos were taken and we will be posting new photos soon of the new bedroom nook. The other sleeping area is upstairs in the loft and it is an open loft. It was designed this way to keep it open and airy. Note: We have gotten feedback that it may be a little tight for 4 adults, and we have made a few modifications to create more space and at the same time have gotten very positive feedback for couples with kids. Take the Bugsy Challenge! This is your chance to try out tiny house living!
This mountain area has narrow windy roads. There is one set of stairs from the parking area to the house. The house is a Duplex with the 2nd unit in the rear of the property.
We are always available by phone, text, or e-mail for our guests.
The Bugsy cabin is in Lake Arrowhead, it is in the mountains at about 5,500 feet.
The main highlight for this time of year is the cooler weather and clean air. The temperature will be approximately 15 degrees cooler than down the mountain. It is incredibly beautiful and peaceful with lots of trees. It is more of a small town feel with narrow roads in the Villas where the cottage is located.
There is Arrowhead Village that sits on the lake. There are shops and restaurants at the Village and the Arrowhead Resort and Spa is close by.
The Tudor house is nearby and if you search around you can read more about Bugsy's former gathering place where there is entertainment weekly and they have an excellent brunch - please check the status due to COVID-19.
The other unique thing about Lake Arrowhead is that the people are incredibly friendly and down to earth. It is like being transported back in time.
Big Bear is another 20 minutes up the mountain and it has a larger public lake and has more clubs and nightlife. There is a huge mountain biking venue at the ski resort where you take the lift with your bike and bike around and then bike down with incredible views.
The living room is equipped with a Smart TV, great for movies from your favorite service provider (Netflix, Amazon, etc.). The living room contains a Murphy Bed in the photo and we are in the process of expanding the bedroom space and it will be a regular Queen bed - photos coming soon.
The house is a duplex with the second unit behind the house.
