Charming, Cozy and Tranquil with Ocean View and Access Near Acadia Nat'l Park

The Cottage is a charming, beautifully furnished getaway on 2 wooded acres which are shared with Cove House (a 5 bedroom, 3 bath luxury home) and Cove Cottage (2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage). The Cottage is situated a short distance from the ocean with wonderful water views. It abutts a nature conservancy and eagles, fox, dear, giant heron and other wildlife are often sighted on the property and nearby protected marshland. Explore the beautiful undeveloped shore via a walking right of way to the ocean. The property is only a short distance from Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and other island attractions. Each of the units has its own parking, entrance, landscaped yard and ocean views.

The cottage was just built in 2016 and is a 2 story 700 sq ft unit with the living/dining, kitchen area and a powder room with washer/dryer on the ground floor with a front porch and back deck with a table and chairs. The living area can be curtained off to allow for guests to sleep on the queen size pullout couch. There is a 55 " satellite TV in the living area. Upstairs is the bedroom, full bath, office area and deck with ocean views.
There is a second TV in the bedroom.

Great location, adorable little house.
We loved this little house. It was a perfect size for us. It was decorated so cute. It was in a very peaceful, quiet location but still close enough to all the great little towns. We enjoyed being able to use the canoe.

Lovely cottage on an amazing Island!
My boyfriend and I stayed the week of Sept 16th and loved every minute of it. The cottage is even more lovely in person and the setting is secluded and scenic with beach views from the lower deck and upper bedroom balcony. The closest town is South West Harbor which has shops and restaurants, and Acadia is a good 35 to 40 minute drive, but it didn't stop us from hiking and biking every day in the Park. The owners pointed us to a great hike up Flying Mountain that is a short 10 minute drive from the cottage. A week is certainly not enough time to explore Mt. Dessert and the breathtaking scenery at every turn. The inside of the cottage was AMAZING! It was roomy yet cozy, completely modern and decorated like you will decorate when you finally get that beach house you've always dreamed of. The kitchen was modern and stocked with everything you would need to prepare full meals, even a crock pot! That being said, we cooked breakfast most mornings and one or two dinners, but there were so many tempting places to eat in Bar Harbor we had to give them a try (I have to give a plug to 59 Cottage!). The master bedroom upstairs is so beautiful and calming, and we took advantage of the huge soaking tub which we needed for our sore muscles after so much hiking. We were completely comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. Mary Ann and Rich were very accommodating and easy to communicate with during the inquiry/booking process. They checked on us during our stay, but gave us our privacy as well. Clear instructions on how to use everything and information on the nature preserve the cottage is set on were left on the counter. They even left us fresh flowers on the dining room table from their garden. I can't say enough about our week's stay at the cottage hope to return again when we can. If you can get here, do it!

Serene and tranquil with beautiful ocean views. The property abuts the nature conservancy and 1/2 mile of unspoiled beach for you to explore. Take out the canoe and watch for seals, osprey, bald eagles, and dolphins along the gorgeous coast.

What makes this property unique

Utter peace and tranquility amidst the unspoiled beauty of the Maine coastline. On the quiet side of Mount Desert Island to get away from the crowds in Bar Harbor but close to all amenities--shopping, Acadia National Park, restaurants, etc.
